Another month has passed now since Hailey had gone into her coma. She has been out for almost 5 months now. By now we should have been going on dates and taking pictures together. Making memories together yeah would last a lifetime. Ones I would tell my children. Even if Hailey isn't their mother. I would have told them about my first love and how amazing and strong she is.

I am currently sitting at the desk in Hailey's room. Her homework was still laid out how she had left it before the accident. Her writing was so neat. I could recognize it anywhere. Every week or so I find myself in here. I write letters to her, so she can read them when she wakes up. I tell her about how my days go and how they could have been better with her by my side. I tell her how my internship is going and how Andrew (Mr. Tait) was keeping me busy with paperwork and filing that needed to be done. But when it was time to see Hailey he always let me leave. He himself had come to see me once while I was visiting her. He brought her some peonies to put beside her hospital bed.

So here I am now, writing to Hailey once again.

Hailey.

I miss you. Words can't describe how much I miss you. Your soft blonde hair and beautiful eyes. Your laugh, I've watched and re-watched all the videos I have of you laughing and smiling. I can't wait to hear that laugh again.

Chase finally landed a job, he's working down in the bar district at a club. He's bartending which should work out well with his face. He's not scary enough to be a bouncer. Mr. Tait said I can come to court with him this weekend and watch him in action. I've heard from other people that he is terrifying while in the courtroom. I'm really looking forward to It.

I went for a run this morning, even stopped by the cafe. Definitely not the same without you running beside me.

Last we heard from your mom was that she was on her way home now and will come visit when she has the time too.

I can't wait for you to wake up Hailey, I miss you more than anything in the entire world.

I love you. I love you. I love you.

I folded up the letter and placed it under Hailey's pillow. I didn't know where else to put them and figured she'd find them there when she came home.

Leaving Hailey's room, I walked into the kitchen to see Julie sitting on the counter while Chase stood over the stove cooking something. It didn't smell half bad. We all knew Hailey was the cook in the family.

"Hey man what you making?" I asked walked over to the two of them. Stopping at the fridge to grab a drink.

"Chase is attempting to cook me lunch" Julie replied to me as she patted Chase on the shoulder.

Chase looked over to me and smiled. I didn't see him this happy in a long time. Seeing him like this brightened my mood, chase had always been like a brother to me and I only ever want to see him happy.

I sat down at the table with the two of them and they asked me questions about how the internship was going and about the recent trials that had been happening in the city. I explained everything to them, talking about my future with people who I know care made me feel so happy. But it wasn't the same kind of happiness that Hailey brought me. Speaking of Hailey, Chase had received a call from her doctor today saying he had some news about her but that it wasn't urgent and that we could take our time coming down to see him. We had all agreed that we would go down after we had eaten lunch today.
