[Virgil's pov]

Our child is coming home today. We're actually going to have a child in our house. Oh god, we have to care for a tiny living thing. Roman kills houseplants for gods sake, how are we going to raise a child?

"-gil, snap out of it. Everything will be okay," I heard someone say. I think it was Roman because the tone wasn't caring or robotic.

"Huh? Oh sorry, Roman," I mumbled after I snapped out of my daze of negative thoughts.

"Are you two ready? They should be here soon," Patton asked us when he walked into the room. Roman answered with a yes, but I just nodded.

We all walked out to the living room and waited. Patton was restless, constantly shifting side to side. I couldn't tell if he was excited or nervous, probably both. Logan looked like he was cool and calm, but I could see the internal panic in his eyes. Same goes for Roman. I paced back and forth anxiously until they arrived.

The four of us all rushed to the door when we heard a knock. This time it was actually them and not one of our neighbors. It was a person holding a child, our child. Ahh I can't believe this is actually happening right now. Breathe, Virgil, now is not the time.

Roman opened the door and let the person in. She introduced herself as Ms. Cecilia. Obviously, we introduced ourselves, too. Luckily, Logan did it for us, and I didn't have to actually say anything.

Ms. Cecilia looked around our house with Roman as her tour guard, which made me very anxious. What if he slipped up about something? Ugh anyways, she then spoke to us for a bit and handed up some paperwork that Logan and I filled out while Roman and Patton watched our child. Our daughter named Emlyn.

Ms. Cecilia checked over the finished paperwork and left with a nod. I think all of us let out a sigh of relief once she was gone. Oh god, Emlyn is so adorable. She's not even a year old, but I can tell she'll be a god mix of all our personalities.

Oh, I can't wait to watch our daughter grow up.
