Harry was always upset that they only had one day of break before going to classes He had always wanted to hang out with his friends more. The people he hadn't seen in many months. But this year was different. He was with Draco in their room for most of the day. They never went to dinner so they went to the kitchen to get food at about ten at night.
"Do you hate me still?" Draco says, looking into Harry's eyes as he eats a sandwich.
Harry put his sandwich down and turned to look at Draco. "Of course not! Where did you get that idea. I just don't know you as well as I'd like to."
"I just thought that you would hate me after all that I've done to you... God, I'm such an ass."
"Stop thinking that. That's behind you now. You- you saved me. And everything I hold dear. I couldn't thank you more. Though I would like to get to know you." Harry looked down at Malfoy's plate and noticed that nothing had been touched. "You have to eat though."
Malfoy looked up and rolled his eyes at Harry. "Fine. What did you order anyway? I've never heard of it before."
"Peanut butter and jelly. Haven't you heard of that before?"
Malfoy looked disgusted and revolted just by the name of it. Draco never had stuff like that at Malfoy Manor. They had fancy meals every night in their huge dining room. The table was longer than a quidditch pitch and had about fifty seats. Perfect for death eater gatherings. Not for a close family. Draco shook the thoughts away and tried to focus on the new. "What kind of name is that! Sounds like a gross muggle thing."
"Just eat some of it Malfoy." Harry teased, playfully poking Draco in the arm.
Draco grabbed the sandwich and took a huge bite. He chewed for a second before coming to a dead stop. "What the fuck did I just eat!" He said after he swallowed.
"Language, Draco" Harry said in a soft voice, making the butterflies in Draco's stomach start again. That was the first time Harry had ever said his name. Though he wouldn't admit it, he loved moments like this. Just a small moment in the grand scheme of things, but it meant so much.
"Fine! I'll say it again. What the heck did I just eat?"
"It's a muggle thing. It's peanuts crushed up and spread on a piece of bread and jelly on the other slice. It's what I grew up on."
"Muggles have the weirdest taste in food. I'll have to keep trying to eat it."

The pair woke up early for classes and checked their schedules.
"Are you kidding me?" Malfoy laughed, reading Harry's schedule. "We have almost every class together!"
Harry frowned as he read the schedules. "You're lucky you aren't taking divination this year. That's the only class we don't have together."
They laughed and went down to the Great Hall. Once they entered the hall they realized something was different. Everyone was sitting by year, not by house. "What the hell is going on?" Draco whispers to Harry. "Where do we sit?"
"I have no clue."
Just then Hermione and Ron came by and started storming Harry with questions, whisking Harry away. "Harry! Honestly, where were you!" Hermione asked, worried.
"I'm fine, Hermione. You can let me go." Harry said shaking off Hermione's hand.
"And you're rooming with Malfoy. Tough luck." Ron said, sitting down next to Dean and Seamus. "I heard he's even a prick out of classes."
Harry frowned and looked over at Draco. He felt his heart swell. He quickly looked away, so that no one would notice. "Yeah... I guess." Harry sighs, thinking about the night he had with Draco. He couldn't help but imagine them doing that every night.
"Harry?" Hermione asked, waving a hand in front of Harry's face. Harry didn't even flinch. He just stared off. "Harry!" Harry's name brought his attention back to the moment.
"What Hermione!" He snapped. "Sorry. You scared me."
"It's okay... Are you okay is my question."
"Yeah... I'll be fine."
Harry couldn't help that the day would be torture for him. Not just because he had potions first. Because he had Draco in almost all of his classes. A blessing and a curse. Harry knew we would want to pay attention in class, but who can pay attention when Draco Malfoy is sitting next to you or in front of you. Torture. The worst kind.
