"I think Jameer is cheating on me" My heart dropped once I heard her say that. I knew that if that was true, it would break Synclaire.
"Girl, what makes you think that?" I said laughing to lighten the mood.
"No Mil, I know I sound crazy but it's true. Like last night he went out said he 'had to handle some business at the club' and I didn't think anything of it. It was how LATE he got back that trigger my questioning. Milan this nigga did not get back till 6-7 in the morning. Like bitch what is in that club that takes you that long to work on?" She continued to tell me the story, and must say that shit did seem fishy ass fuck. I just hope it's not true, definitely not after the news I have to share with her.
I don't even how to tell Syn this but I know I have to. Things have been really good for me, and I know syn noticed because she pointed it out. What she doesn't know is why.
"Girl I don't know that does seem fishy as hell. If I were you, I would go through his phone and search to find anything. I don't want you to think to hard on this because I know you, you slowly drift away. I don't want you to do that because what if he is telling the truth?" I said.
"Ok Milan." She said.
"I have some news to share with you. I think this would cheer you up" I said while bouncing Arise up and down on my leg. My baby was so energetic.
"What is it?"
"Well, Major is home" I said just spitting it out. Her eyes popped out her head and her hand flew over her mouth.
"What, omg are you serious. You better not be playing with my emotions." She said with tears running down her eyes.
"I'm not, I promise you. He came to the house last Sunday, the day after we met up for a girls day. I had came home from working and he was there on the porch. Looking well and like the Major i remember.

It had been a long day at work, but it was a good day. I work at Fridays as a waitress. I was just ready to get home, as I drove to my dad's house to get Arise. I was thinking about Major, it's like that's all my mind wanted me to think about. I wonder he's doing right now? Who is he with? Hell, is he even alive?
I just wish he would just come home and we can just start off when we left off. We could be a family again.
I pulled into my dads yard and went in to get Arise. I'm so glad my dad is back in town and can keep Arise for me whenever I need him too. He just retired a couple months back so he also helps me out with anything I need. I picked up Arise and was on my way home. I stopped and got me and him some Chipotle, and I was on the way home.
Pulling into my driveway I shut off my engine and got out the car getting Arise. I took him inside and put him in his highchair, then went back outside to get the food and my purse. Once I got inside I got situated and began eating and feeding Arise.
" Mmm yummy isn't it." I said while feeding him some rice and beans. My baby eats a lot, just like his daddy.
"Ma ma..... Mamama" He said mama, he started saying that last week. I was so happy.
"Yes mama, here" I said. I continue to feed him. I can't believe he's gonna be one in two weeks. Once me and Arise we're done eating dinner, I took him out his highchair and cleaned him up. I put him in his playpen and went into the kitchen to clean up the little I had to clean. Then I went back into the living room and got Arise getting ready to go upstairs and bath him when there was a knock at the door.
Wonder who that is, not many people know where I live. So it's probably Syn coming to see us, or my dad. Sometimes he comes over for dinner unannounced. I went to the door with Amir in my arms. I opened the door and almost passed out.
"Major... " I said.
"It's me baby" He said while cracking a smile. I run into his arms and just started crying. He hugged me so tight, it was just what I needed.
"Baby I'm so sorry, I messed up but I'm clean now. I'm never going back to that and I want to be apart of you and my sons life" He said while grabbing my face in his hands. All I could do was shake my head while crying. I can't believe I have him back, I really didn't see this coming.
"I... I missed you so much Maj, please don't leave us anymore." I pleaded.
"I promise, unless God takes me. I won't be leaving. Can I hold my son" He said while looking at Arise. I shook my head yes and he went in to grab him but Arise wasn't having that. He started crying, it hurt me to see how he doesn't know his dad. I knew it hurt Major even more.
"He has to get use to you" I said.
"Come in, it's hot out" I said. Tears were still streaming down my face but I wasn't crying so hard anymore.
"Okay" We walked inside and I put Arise in his playpen and gave him some toys.
"You have a nice house I see." He said while looking around. He sat on the couch and I sat next to him. All I could do was stare at him. Had to make sure I wasn't seeing shit, and he was really here.
"What?" He said while smiling.
"Why'd you leave the rehab center me and Jameer put you in." I said, I really wanted to know where he went. I wanted to see if he was truly clean.
"Umm well, that place wasn't cutting it for me. I wanted something that was more strict and private. Sooo... I checked myself out and had Jameer take me to Mount Rushmore. It's quite and peaceful, I was able to recollect myself and my thoughts. Every week I had a certified pharmacist bring me the meds they were giving me at the rehab center so my rehabilitation process was faster. I spent 4 ½ months there, all I could think about was YOU. You and my son, I thought about how much time I'd missed with him. I knew I couldn't miss his first birthday so I thought this would be the perfect time to come back. I don't smoke, I don't drink. I don't do any of that, I just want to be completely sober for the rest of my life. I'm sorry for leaving you to do this all of this on your own. I know it was hard, especially raising Arise on your own." He said while looking at me.
"I'm proud of you Major, I'm happy you could overcome that issue. I just want you to promise to never leave me again. I want you to continue to build and recreate yourself. I promise to you to be right there beside you, along for the ride. As long as you love me." I said while grabbing his hands and holding them tightly.
"I promise. I love you soo much, I love the family we have. Im in love with you Milan." He said while kissing me. We kissed so passionately, like it was our last.
"I love you too" I said.
