PROLOGUE
How could you lose something thats never been yours? Its ridiculous.
Some say life is a game to play. For you to win, you must master the rules.
What if you are playing by someone else's rules? Wanna bet still?
Worst, what if you play with someone else's game?
Checkmate.
Some say it's a journey to set forth. You have to set your sail and catch every wind.
But what if you're facing a Nor'easter?
Wanna venture still and get caught in a storm?
Masochist.
I've heard stories of life from people of experience with it, read stories from people who wanted it, watched people who never had it, but still i wonder when will i ever know it myself.
Ok I have to admit.
I'm a big... fat...coward.
I'm the great master of the game named, "playing it safe. "
I'm the great traveller who reached nowhere so far.
Get the picture? It doesn't matter.
can't see it myself either.
Homesick.
When I reached my senior year, I met a teacher. A language and literature teacher actually.
I found it crazy because I was expecting a different English teacher. You know, here in the little towns of the Ph. all you'll see is the vast green sugar palm fields and the school is a journey of a thousand miles from home. Ofcourse that's an overstatement but you know what I mean. High school is both a threat and a party. Threat, coz you are expecting it to be the hardest mental exercise. The most influential person to a student is the teacher ofcourse. In the first day of school, the question of the mob is,
"Sino ang teacher natin sa _______?
eh sa_______?"
Two reactions are expected,
" Ha? Si Ma,am ______?"
and...
"Yehey! Si Ma,am _____!"
Pag mukhang mabait, yan ang Yehey!
Pag mukhang tigre, yan ang Ha?
Party. Coz you have a gang to send group messages every single minute, everyday, (if you're not caught texting in class) availling the unlimited text promos of the communication networks. Eventually hindi ka mahuhuling ng ti-text kung may talent ka. Talent na maisaulo ang key pad ng Nokia 3310. Yan. Makakapag text ka nang di tumitingin sa cell phone.
