I was very tired from running, I had to stop but then everyone looked suspicious, I didn't know what to do. I had lost my voice from crying and screaming a lot, my throat was hurting bad and my head was banging.

Looking ahead, I see a spring and headed towards it. Once The water made contact with my tongue, It felt exhilarating.

Looking behind me I could see a shadow at a dark corner. I felt like it was watching me. I started to panic and looking for where to run and hide but everywhere was so dark and I could barely see.

Without further thinking, I started running again hoping someone would see me and help or the shadow would just go away.

I didn't even cover a far distance when I fell, hurting my knee. I tried to stand up quickly falling again. I started to cry again, moving on the floor. I felt the shadow coming closer and closer.......
...........

Waking up with a gasp and struggle for breath, sweating like I had just ran a marathon. I survey my room, looking out the window. Seeing that it was still dark, I grabbed my phone from my side table and looked at the time.

It was still 4 and I was having trouble going back to sleep so I decide to go for a quick run, hoping it would make me feel better.

Changing into a tank top, jogging shorts with a converse and of course a long hoodie on top of it. I carried my iPod, packed my hair up into a ponytail and headed out.

I ran into different familiar streets, passed parks and shops. Feeling the breeze on my face and the rush in my blood.

Running always soothed me and because of past events, I was good at it. I won lots of medals in middle school against people in my school and people in other schools. At least something good came out of all that bad.

I started to feel a bit uneasy so I stopped friends by Anne Marie from playing on my iPod to find out if I was being paranoid.

To my dismay, I heard other foot steps. Without turning around to look at the face of the person slapping their feet against the pavement, I picked up my pace.

Running faster, I could still hear the sound of rushed feet on the floor. I turned into another street, trying to confirm again if I was just being paranoid. Looking back I saw no one, thank God and trying to catch my breath then 5 seconds later, I saw the figure again.

I couldn't take it anymore, I wasn't just gonna run. I was gonna protect my self. Good thing I trained in middle school, whenever I had extra time.

Today I was gonna put all that training into action. I started to slow down, till I finally stopped. When I felt the presence behind me, I twisted and threw a kick at the figure. The person moved swiftly, dodging. Not planning on missing again, I threw two punches this time, missing the first one and the second one coming in contact with the persons jaw.

"Ouch! For a girl, you hit damn hard." feeling good with myself, I took a stance ready to throw another one at him.

"Wait! Please! I don't wanna hurt you." the voice said trying to catch his breath.

"Then why are you following me?"

"I'm sorry I didn't mean to scare you."

"That's not a reason." I said taking my stance again.

"It's gonna sound weird but I was just out for a run to clear my head, just like you I guess and then I saw this stunning girl and I wanted to know if you wanted some company. So I came closer and then you started running faster, I ran faster too and then you looked like you were scared and I wanted to assure you that there was nothing to be scared of then you stopped and started hitting me." he said out of breath.
