The week went by fast, thankfully. I didn't have to go through the whole first week of school stress for too long. Trust my friends for trying to make me talk about Nathan but trust me for weaseling my way out of the situation. Nathan and I said hey to each other here and there. No one was avoiding anyone, I guess we were just too busy. He was settling into his house and adjusting with the new school schedule so it was understandable. So It was safe to say I didn't get distracted. Except for that one time on Thursday when he was waving and smiled his award winning smile that made be bump into someone and fall down. It was embarrassing really, I don't know why I couldn't keep my cool around him. Being around him is comfortable and all but he's presence is quite distracting. He just grinned and mouthed a sorry then went straight to class, leaving dumb old me to fend for myself.
Friday night was spent with my friends. Ashley told us all about how she had so much fun with Jay and how they really connected which showed them they were really meant to be together. She talked about how they didn't really do anything but just being with him made her very happy. Normally people would think I would be jealous and stuff for her ending up with my childhood crush but nehhhh. I was very happy for her, it was rare to see her that happy so it made us happy too. We did a scary movie marathon at the Grey mansion. There was popcorn, soda, pringles and any other thing you'd need for a scary movie marathon. Everyone fell asleep and left I alone to suffer. There wasn't a time when my head didn't turn 360°.
Violet and I showered then had breakfast at the Grey mansion before going home to prepare for mother daughter shopping with Rebecca.
We got home not long after and went upstairs to drop our bags. We would clean out our wardrobe every 3 months cause if we didn't we wouldn't have space in our closets for more stuff. I know you must be like every 3 months??? But it's better that way so that the next set of people would enjoy it too before it gets old.
"I think these shoes are too small for me now." Vi said looking at a pink and black pair of hightops.
"Too bad I really liked it." i replied looking up from my stuff.
"Right? Same here! I hope the next owner would love it too" she says gently placing it in a box.
It was kinda sad to let go of some things but I was happy knowing we weren't throwing it away but we were just handing it over to people who needed it more than us.
"What of this? I know Clara would love them." she says holding up one of her favourite purple tops which had 'girly, smart and proud' written on it
"She definitely would." I reply smiling at the thought of her face when she sees it.
Clara was one of the orphans we gave our stuff to. She was our favourite she was like our little sister. She has blonde hair, brown eyes and was quite tall you could even mistaken her for someone older. She is 15 and loves Purple just like Violet. Before shopping we would spend an hour with her to catch up on the last 6 weeks.
I always planned that when I was 18 I'd get her out of there and she'd stay with me in my house.
I threw in a few pair of dresses and shirts that were a little bit small for me and closed my bag.
"I'm all done." I say immediately I'm done zipping up my bag.
"Just one more and yep same here." she says after zipping hers too.
We took our stuff down the stairs and into the car then Violet waited for me while I went to inform Rebecca we were ready to go.
"Hey!"
"Tom, hey!" I replied stopping midway.
"How are you?" he asked.
"I'm OK you?"
