Waking Up (Inside)

Heyo all my lovely readers! As promised here is the second chapter, technically. This one may be long or short depending on how I wanna go with this specific chapter. But I will say that she does start a little after the beginning of the year, think about after Cat Fight (ep.2). Also I may or may have not spelled Zaina name wrong during the first chapter but i'm kinda feeling lazy right now, so I don't feel like going back through and editing it. Anyways~

HERE WE GO!

Beep. Beep. Beep. Beep. 

That was the continuous sound that Zaina heard. Wait. Could she hear? Wasn't she dead alrea- Oh yea the deal, right that thing. Zaina sighed softly and her eyes flickered open, squinting her eyes at the bright white light that shined all around her. As her eyes adjusted to the light Zaina raised her arm to her face and rubbed the sleep out of her eyes, but she felt something lightly tug on her forearm, and when she looked down she realized that she had an IV sticking out of her arm. Zaina's body jolted upwards and surveyed the room around her. Only one word came to her mind.

Hospital. 

Zaina groaned into her hands and flopped back down on the bed. She was in a stupid hospital. What the in the name of Irene happened to her?  'Ughhhh. I hate that sterile smell.' Zaina thought disgustedly. She hated hospitals with a passion, it always connotated to her secrets. The ones she tried and had to hide from the world. The secret that she was a werewolf, naturally born obviously. The bigger secret behind that was that she had a different fa-!

*BAM!!* 

The hospital room door slammed open and Zianna burst into the room, throwing her arms around Zaina, hugging her tightly. Almost causing Zaina to die once again from the lack of oxygen she was receiving. To signal she needed air to her mother Zaina patted her mother's arm frantically, Zianna seemingly getting the hint, released her.  

"Oh, ZuZu! My poor baby girl! Are you okay?! Do you feel lightheaded? Nauseous? " Her mother worried over her, cupping her face and squishing her face with her hands. The one-eyed girl rolled her eye(s) and gently pried her mother's hands from her face. 

"I'm fine mom. Although...what happened exactly happened? Why am I in the hospital?" The teen questioned. Now that she actually thought about it, all she could remember was looking for (ugh) Gene and his group, before suddenly the room was spinning and then she woke up here in the hospital. 

"Don't you remember honey? You fainted at school and Aphmau found you, so we brought you home but you wouldn't respond to anything! So we brought you to the hospital. It's been 2 days sweety since you blacked out. Turns out you have high blood sugar from lack of exercise." The older woman replied sweetly as she raked her fingers through her daughter's hair. 

"Oh joy. (Cue eye roll)  Did they say when I can leave?" Zaina asked as she leaned into her mother's touch. There were certain reasons why she couldn't do sports or anything athletic. Mostly so that she didn't reveal her secret by using her heightened strength and speed. Also, she did have slight asthma regardless of her being a werewolf or not. 

"Well hun, they said you can leave anytime... if you sign a letter of agreement agreeing to participate in some sort of exercise/activity in or outside of school. They said if you agree to this you will be able to leave, but you will still have to do regular check-ups." Her mother sighed tiredly. 

"And is dad gonna let me? You know how he is...he doesn't want anyone to find out about my...condition." Zaina said in frustration. "I mean he might as well sign me up for werewolf class! I mean Aphmau is in there and she's human? Who's gonna know the difference between the fake me as a human and the real me as a werewolf?" Zaina finished sarcastically as she huffed and crossed her arms, wincing as the IV in her arm got tugged on.
