Chapter 1: A Dinner of Despair- pt 3

 I took Usagi to the infirmary and stayed by his side, if we were all going to die I at least wanted to be there for my friend, he was most likely going to be the first who would die to the infection. I held his hand, we had 2 more days to live... I was honestly scared, I wasn't ready to die, there was still so much I wanted to do, but my time was up... I slowly started to lose consciousness, I was exhausted.

I woke up so Akio shaking me, "Kiyoshi! Kiyoshi!!" He yelled, trying to get me to wake up.

"W-What is it..." I asked him softly, still half asleep.

"Y...You have to see for yourself...." He yanked me up and took me toward the Elite Chemist's Lab. I followed him frantically, what was he so worked up about I wondered.

He opened the doors to the Lab, it took a second for my eyes to adjust, and I honestly wish they didn't, what I saw was truly horrifying....

Aya's body laid on the chemistry table, motionless and with fear stricken in her face. Blood was everywhere, her arm was separated, her stomach split open, guts poking out, her throat was demolished, she bled from deep cuts in her leg, glass shard sticking out of her face, half of her face was burned, her clothes were in tatters.

I ran to the bathroom and threw up, the sight was too gruesome for me to handle, I couldn't do it... I couldn't handle the sight, I couldn't believe that one of us actually... I can't believe that one of us killed someone, and in such an awful way.

Someone had put a hand on my shoulder, I turned around to see Akio standing over me, "Kiyoshi? Are you alright?..." His grip tightened a little.

I nodded, "I-I'll be fine..." I just can't believe... someone killed another person..."

As if on cue, the monitors turned on, "Bing-Bong-Bong-Boong, A dead body has been discovered, I'd like everyone to meet up in the Ballroom for a special announcement and Antidote distribution." Monokuma said, giving us that sickening grin.

I quickly washed out my mouth and walked with Akio to the Ballroom. When we entered, everyone was already there, including Usagi was was getting the Antidote to the poison injected into him, the purple is his arm decreased. One by one, everyone got the shot.

"So, now what, why are there still 16 of us here? If the killer killed someone, then they should've been able to leave correct?" I asked slowly.

"Upupupupu, Not quite, now that wouldn't be very entertaining now would it?" He looked at each and every one of us, "Now we go into the investigation period, followed by a class trial, which I will explain when the time comes. Right now you all need to go and find evidence for the class trial, I have also added the Monokuma File to your Monopads, It's basically an autopsy of the body. Also, you can use your Monopads to take down notes of the crime scene, take pictured, I don't care. And with that, I'll take my leave." He bowed before vanishing an a puff of smoke.

I still had unanswered questions, but... I guess I should go and help with the investigation. I headed over to the crime scene. I could hear running footsteps behind me, I turned around to see Usagi heading my way.

"K-Kiyoshi-Kun! Wait up!!" He soon caught up to me, out of breath, "I-I want to help you investiagate..."

I shook my head, "I don't want you to see it... It's... too gruesome.." I looked away.

Usagi shook his head, "No, I can handle it, trust me." He started to walk ahead of me.

I sighed and followed him. I didn't want him to see the scene, I felt that it might be too much for him, but when we walked into the room, he didn't even flinch, Usagi went straight to looking around, probably to find some evidence. I decided to aid him in looking, we were the only two there at the moment, so there weren't a lot of distractions, which I had hoped for, the whole scene made me sick.
