Hopefully, this version won't be too heartbreaking...right? You know what to do with the comment 💨

Third Persons Pov.

Running your own company always comes with challenges, especially when you have more than one.

And when your last name is Grey, you carry some weight with it.

Y/N sat in her third board meeting of the day, and she was bored. She never thought listening to someone younger than her would be this bland. She listened to the younger boy speak about his business that he ran with his father and stared at him, annoyed.

There was no vision in this presentation.

"I think it's important for our company to keep things traditional as my grandfather would want-"

Traditional? What the fuck did that even mean?

She moved her gaze to the father, who sat proudly in his seat listening to his son bore her to death and huffed in annoyance. She spun the silver pen in her hands, letting the tip hit the table every now and then before stopping her movements.

She placed the pen down with a small thud, making the room go silent. The boy stopped speaking and turned his attention to her, along with the whole board room.

Y/n: "Mr Smith, what is the point of this presentation?" He stared at her speechless.

"E-Excuse me?" Y/N sighed and turned around in her chair a bit.

Y/n: "What's your name?" She asked, grabbing the documents on the table and studying them.

"E-Eric," he stuttered, afraid of the younger Grey.

Y/n: "What is the aim of this presentation? What are you trying to explain to me? " She asked with a raised brow.

"U-Uh, that's our business should run the way it is because we feel that modern technology is taking over too much and we should try to keep the business as it is." He explained that he was trying to keep his nerves at bay.

Y/n: "You do realise what you're saying is ridiculous and stupid." Everyone's eyes widen at her words but no one dared to speak because, at the end of the day, she wasn't wrong. "The reason why businesses are run so efficiently and successfully is because of modern technology. Businesses get recognition because there are so many ways to advertise their businesses these days because of technology and how advanced it is." She explained.

"Yes, we do realise that, but..."

Y/n: "With all due respect, you came to present us with this pitch today in the hopes that we would invest in your company, but this plan has no vision and no real goal. You do know that we own and run two technological companies, right? And you're basically swearing off a future investor product or service..." They both stared at the girl with their jaws slack.

"We understand what you are saying, Ms Grey. We didn't mean to offend you or your company. " Conner, the father, spoke while his son gathered his things.

Y/n: "Listen to me," She sighed, standing up from her seat and buttoning her suit jacket. "The only way this company will invest in yours is if we see some futuristic and realistic ideas and visions." The world is going to keep evolving and staying stuck in your old ways isn't going to help, understood?" They nodded.

"We understand," Eric said, gripping his folders.

Y/n: "Good. I will give you two weeks to come up with something and present it to me and my father, so make it good. I will let my assistant give you the details, but for now, I have some things I need to attend to. Good day," I said, leaving the boardroom with my assistant right next to me.
