"Allison." I breathe out, staring at the girl on the porch.

Her eyes are wild and full of fury as she stares at me.

"Calina Rose Laraunt, you will come home with me this instant." Her hands fly to grab me.

Involuntarily a hiss comes from Jasper who moves to stand in front of me like some kind of roided up guard dog. I roll my eyes at him, but don't move to get in his way, knowing that his territory has been threatened, and he won't back down.

"Allison, I think that you should come inside." Rose says, tucking her blonde hair behind her ear with a pensive look.

"Fuck that." Allison laughs, but it lacks humor.

"Allie, please come in." I finally move away from Jasper making a step towards her.

Instead Allison moves to grab my arm again. When she does she barely flinches, but the stony surface does give her a bit of a start.

"What the hell are they doing to you, turning you to stone?" She mutters more to herself than me, so I chose to stay silent.

"Allison, come inside." I command, using my full gift in an attempt to calm both her and our situation.

"Oh hell no, it took me weeks to get out of your last stupid trap." She glares at me.

Emmett's eyes find my own, just as perplexed by her lack of obedience to my command. Rose sucks in a deep breath, and Jasper stiffens impossibly more next to me.

"How are you doing that, Allison?" I ask her gravely, eying her with interest.

"I don't know what kind of witchy powers you have, and I don't care. You're coming home with me this instant, and I'll get you help. Cali, satanic rituals aren't good, and you're messing with the devil."

I hold in a laugh, but Emmett, of course, snorts before Rose gives him a good smack in the gut.

"I have a priest who has agreed to do an exorcism, we are going to his farm tomorrow morning and we are getting that demon out of you."

Emmett can barely contain himself at her statement, and she turns her glare on him.

"Don't think I won't report your little cult for kidnapping her either you big oafish brute." She snaps, pointing a finger right into his face.

Emmett looks far less amused as she glares daggers up at him. He gives her an apologetic frown and a slight shrug, shrinking backwards ever the slightest. If I wasn't as distressed, I would almost be proud of my sister for facing down something she must be terrified of.

"Allison, please." I plead, motioning her inside.

Against every judgement I can see in her, she gives in at my broken voice, stepping apprehensively into the mansion.

"You guys don't look like Satanists." She mutters, I can't tell if she's talking to herself or us, but to be honest I don't care.

"Just make yourself at home, Allison. I apologize for the dust, our family has been away for a considerable amount of time." Rosalie ushers her into our sitting room.

Allison looks around skeptically, choosing to perch herself lightly on the grand white couch that fills most of the room.

"Rose, will you stay?" I ask hopefully, staring into the eyes of my sister.

"I think this is your battle, Cali. I will be just outside the room, in case."

I wince at the double meaning behind her words. Allison is one of the few people who could potentially push me enough to snap the restraint I've worked so hard on. I'm still young in relative terms in the world of blood and vampires. We all know where this could end.
