The Wild Innocence

Chapter 5 - Part 2

"Hey Dude whats up. Anong masamang hangin at nandito ka? Today is Sunday. Hindi ka pumasok?" Leighron hugged ang patted him on the back and he did same thing.

"Yup..." hinahanap ng mga mata niya si Brynn.

"Wow that's a record-breaker," biro ni Lei sa kanya. 

Of all the Dudes he's the only one who's work is on Saturdays and Sundays only. Kaya never siyang nakikita ng mga ito during weekends. Maliban nalang talagang napaka-importante. And it doesn't happen often.

"I took two days-off Dude...Work can be overwhelming sometimes..."

"Buti pinayagan ka?" usisa nito.

"Yup...I'm the boss..." and he patted his biceps.

"Ulol! Meron din ako niyan," at pinakita rin nito ang muscle at nagsu-suntok pa sa hangin. "Boss din 'to."

"Ulol! Here's more." 

Hunter also punches on the air and they play like two boxers inside the boxing ring ready for round one.

Ganito kakulit ang friendship nila. 

They've known each other for a long time and they were like brothers from another mother.

"Tulog pa ba si Brynn?" mayamaya ay tanong ni Hunter."

"Nope, she went out early with her girlfriends. Every Sunday may girls out 'yon..." sabi nito at naglakad papuntang kitchen. "Want a drink?"

"Oh..." disappoinment shattered on his handsome face. "Yeah...What time is she coming back?"

"I really don't know. Why you're asking?"

"Nothing... just curious," kibit balikat niya. He doesn't want Leighron to guess what he's up to.

"Here," inabot nito sa kanya ang isang SanMig light in can. "So what brought you here?" kapagkuwan ay tanong nito.

"Ahm..To hang out... I mean let's go out with the Dudes and get some drinks. Sagot ko lahat."

"Wow anong nakain mo't mang-bu-blowout ka? Magkakasama lang tayo last Friday."

"Well I miss you all guys."

"I've known you Hunter for a long time. You can't fool me dude." Ngingisi-ngisi ito at pabirong sinuntok-suntok ang dibdib niya. At ang mga tingin nitong ipinupukol sa kanya ay may ibig sabihin.

Nahalata kaya nito na ang pakay talaga niya ay si Brynn? 

Siguro hindi naman siya ganoon ka-obvious.

"Hey why are you looking at me like that?"

"'Cos I think we have to talk, and you owe me an explanation."

"About what?"

"You know what I'm talking about Hunt..."

Bukod sa kanyang family si Leighron lang ang tumatawag sa kanya sa kanyang palayaw. At kapag ganito ang tawag sa kanya ng kuya ni Brynn ay serious matter ito.

"Ahm, I guess..."

"Ok let's go get some drinks with the dudes then. But before that lets talk first..." madiin na sabi ni Leighron.

Parang may kutob na siya kung ano ang tinutukoy nitong kailangan nilang pag-usapan. 

Nagsumbong kaya si Brynn? 

Bakit naman nito iyon gagawin? 

Hindi nga ba at ayaw nitong may makaalam nang tungkol sa kanilang pinag-usapan at sa nangyari between them. 

Pero bakit parang may alam si Leighron?
