This pitch is all about the Greek Gods. Not too many write about them unless it is in regards to the Percy Jackson series, and I think that's a real shame because there is so much untapped potential here!
I was thinking this story is about the fall of Greek gods in modern times. Now I'm not talking about the fall of followers in that religion; I'm talking about one day all of them just become mortal, human and they don't know why. This plot can be all about them trying to figure out how to rise back to power and why this happened.
Now this can take place were they can all be high-schoolers, but personally, I think it would be really interesting if the main group of gods were high-schoolers, but a bunch of them are just random ages anywhere from months old to senior citizens.
With this research NEEDS to be your best friend. Research which gods you want to be your main characters and their relations with one another. Some gods are married to each other, some are siblings, etc.
You can also throw in demi-gods if you want to. The gods will need to find somewhere to live and people to help them and I think their kids/exes would make the most sense.
