⚭Augustine Montgomery's Point of View

Ten days... It's been ten days since Shiloh was kidnapped. That night, Michael and I shifted and we searched everywhere. We were unable to call Shiloh's mother and cousin on the first night. They thought that maybe Shiloh and I were competing the mating. But the second night... The second night, multiple women came to the pack house, demanding to see Shiloh. Monroe, the woman I met when I followed Shiloh's scent. Rachel, Monroe's mother who could pass as her sister. Both were albino. Emmery Adair, Shiloh's mother, had black hair and dark brown eyes, was furious and short. Then Amber, the Deltas daughter, is Monroe's girlfriend. All four women were yelling for the youngest member of their family.

I had to tell them what happened.

None of them took it well.

Monroe went to file a police report. Amber went with her. Emmery sobbed loudly as her sisterly friend, Rachel, comforted her, telling her everything was going to be okay.

That was a week ago.

There is still no sign of Shiloh.

Whoever took him masked their scent. We found out the blood on the ground wasn't Shiloh's, which gave us comfort, but very little. Shiloh can fight, I've witnessed that myself, but... But he could have been in heat, meaning he was weak.

Michael, whose Dreturnatual ability is to be able to get some information about someone from their blood, found out a few things. Whoever kidnapped Shiloh didn't belong to a pack, was a werewolf, and had Alpha blood.

So we had an Alpha Rogue on our hands...

Sighing, I went to sit down. I've searched all of the north side of the pack (North Carolina) and the south (South Carolina) and... Nothing... Michael even searched both states while I was in the other and still... Nothing...

I'm starting to go insane. Ten days. I've been away from my unmated, unmarked, virgin mate for ten days.

Tsula has been worrying nonstop and honestly, I blame some of my anxiety on her. She's not really the worrying type, so when she does, it makes me extra worried.

Ten days, Augustine! What if... What if he's-

I punched the wall and growled out "He's not. We would've felt it, Tsula. Don't even think about..." I paused, taking a breath to calm down. "Don't even think about him dead. He's not." My voice was deeper from me sobbing until my throat was raw last night.

I felt something but I didn't know what. Something happened to Shiloh.

Hearing a knock on my door, I growled out "What do you want!?"

Someone sighed and I recognized the voice as my mother's. "Augustine, you haven't eaten today. If you're going to look for him again, you need strength."

"Just leave it on the floor." I mumbled, going back to sleep.

I heard her set a tray on the ground and walk away.

Minutes passed and I heard a familiar set of angry footsteps. In a second, my door was kicked down and Emmery glared at me.

"Eat, mutt." she said through gritted teeth.

Rolling to the away from her, I pulled my blankets over my head. "Leave me alone..." I whispered.

She threw something at me. I removed the blanket and saw it was a slim Jim and orange juice from a convenience store. Starting to walk away, she said "C'mon, we found something."

I followed her, running. I lifted her up over my shoulder and jumped over the stairs, landing on the floor. Running fast, I dropped her off in front of her truck. "Where?" I asked, eagerly.
