☙ Shiloh Adair's Point of View☙

I learned while I was eating, while August was staring at me intensely, that Michael was the name of Luca and Maria's first born. They have two other kids. A daughter named Vermont who is in a juvenile detention center and a child that hasn't been born yet. Vermont is fourteen and Michael is sixteen.

The food here was amazing by the way.

I still remember that when Maria called for her grandfather, when she yelled Nonnino, I was hit with the strangest feeling of deja vu.

Putting all that aside, I should focus on the now.

Now, being that the guy that I saw August fighting with when I first met him, was Michael.

And when Michael ran inside the restaurant, crying, I felt something inside me.

Is he...? No... "That's impossible..." I whispered under my breath.

"M-mate?" said Michael, trembling. We made eye contact and I could tell by the fact that he stiffened that he felt it too. He felt what I felt.

"Get away from my mate." growled August from beside me.

Ignoring him, I took a step towards Michael. August quickly grabbed me and I felt similar, more stronger, waves of something...

Michael looked conflicted.

He wanted to go to me but he didn't want to upset August. He didn't know what to do. So I chose for him.

Slowly and gently, I pushed August away and stepped towards Michael, still confused over the whole situation. I glanced at August and have him a smile. Reaching for his hands, I have them a squeeze before I walked towards Michael.

Michael looked at me with shock and wonder. I guess we both thought the same thing. It should be impossible for someone to have multiple mates, but... Here we are.

Once I was just a step away from him, I stood in front of him. I heard August growl lowly as he stood near me a few feet away. I'm glad that he's giving Michael and I space.

"I want to kiss you." Said Michael, still looking at me with his green eyes, filled with wonder and curiosity.

I didn't know how to respond.

So he responded for me by taking a step towards me.

Trembling, his caramel hands cupped my face. Hurt flashed in his eyes as he stared up at me. He doesn't know what to do.

Slowly, he removed his hands from my face, still shaking. Instead of kissing me like he wanted to (Maybe I wanted it too?), he shakily put his hands on my waist and pulled me into a hug.

Hesitantly, I hugged him back. Instead of the electricity I felt with August, I felt more of a burning sensation wherever Michael and I made skin contact.

An hour passed. I was now on the wooden floor of Michael's room, criss cross applesauce, sipping on a capri sun, watching Michael and August argue.

They didn't want me in the argument. They only yelled at each other in the beginning but when they started to get physical, I stepped in. "Guys!" I yelled weakly.

I wedged myself between the two and when both of my hands touched the two I felt weird. I gasped and pulled myself away from them. That was weird...

The two now looked concerned but at least they weren't fighting.

"Are you okay?" asked Michael, reaching for me.

August pushed him away and reached for me. Michael glared at him but reached for me anyway. When they both touched me, I felt weird again.
