The slight chatter of the class arose from the silence, the teacher was left to his own work whilst the students did as they pleased. Connor sat at the back corner of the class just at the window, his hands mashed along the keys of his computer, he then swiftly swiped out his ear phones out from his pocket. His desire to leave from reality to imagination intensified as the plug reached the computer's audio port, a tap at the mouse pad and strange music played. The music sung "Breakaway, Breakaway" Connor lightly closed his eyes as he leaned back on his chair, the light blue sky started to immerse out from his surroundings. He let his imagination consume him.

A mass of land appeared below him, Connor grasped his knee to help himself up, the grass flourished as the wind pulled its ends, suddenly a tree grew from the ground up as the sun shined upon the island. Sea water grazed the sandy edges as plantation grew all around Connor. Sunset arrived, a single tree overlooked the sun as the roots kept it just off the edge of plantation; hanging above the clear water. Connor hopped on the tree to stare at the beautiful sight, "This is my world... No one else's." He whispered to himself in such a light tone, nightfall darkened the island as yellow lit fire flies brightened small areas. The sky above glimmered with colors and shooting stars, Connor's face lit up, he had never been happier to witness such freedom.

Suddenly, a voice echoed from above, "Connor! Wake up!" The voice yelled, it was a girl's voice. The slight squeak but divine sound called to him, the land around him glazed with white before disappearing, a rush of darkness occurred. Connor opened his eye lids as his eyes adjusted to the blurry light, he was back in class, however all the seats were empty.

The only other person in the room was stood beside him, Natalie stood there, leaning with her hand on his shoulder. "It's late Connor, lets head home. Did you sleep throughout the entire class?" She questioned with her worried tone. The blur around him focused as the class became clear to Connor's vision. A slight wind passed as Connor awkwardly realized his situation, he blushed then got up to pack his things. "Ugh- Thanks!" he stuttered in embarrassment. A minute passed as Connor clumsily stuffed his books and items into his bag, the straps gently pressed against his shoulders after zipping the bag tightly. "Here, let's walk home together" Natalie's welcoming smile offered, Conner couldn't refuse her persuasion as they exited the building. As the pair grew closer to the school gate, Connor pulled out his earphones and phone, he led one of the earphones through his shirt to secure its position. A violin played along a swift rhythm, a smooth jazz-like voice sang clear words, "Babe, be with me forever" Connor glanced down at Natalie's sleek but gentle blonde hair that reached down just beneath her shoulders.

Connor quickly reverted his stare as he started to blush, his solid glare at the ground before him made him think a little. Connor blinked, the sky darkened to sunset as fireworks popped in the horizon, Natalie and Conner were sat at a bench facing the scenery. Natalie stood up with her blushed face, she turned to Connor, "C-Connor!" she closed her eyes in nervousness. "W-will you g-go out with me?" her nerve filled stutter silenced the surroundings, the birds fluttered their wings in the distance as Connor was left speechless. A sudden snap awakened Connor's vision, his imagination disrupted by Natalie's finger snap, the scenery returned to its original view with the sun high and the path to home clear. "There you go again, breaking away into your own world" she admired that feature of Connor as he drew his attention towards her, "Heh, seems that we reached home" Natalie pointed out as Connor's surprised expression fazed in, he hadn't realized how long he's been day dreaming. Natalie conveniently lived directly across the street from Connor as they stayed in the same neighborhood. Connor waved to Natalie as he entered through his front door, the silence dominated the environmental sounds, the house was empty as a note was left on the unattended dining table. Connor glanced at it as he rolled his eyes and headed straight to his room, he hopped onto his bed, the impact pressed his back against the cushions as he lied there with his phone and ear phones rested beside him.

Connor took a deep breath followed by an exhale, the environs calmed as the loudest sound were simply the birds chirping. The light rays of the hot sun barely escaped the minor gaps between the blinds of the windows, Connor whispered to himself, "Why can't I have a world of my own, where I can feel whatever I want, where I can see whatever I want, where I can hear whatever I want." He reached his hand out to what appeared to be the ceiling, a shift of his imaginative perspective swung by as he was reaching out to a single light that illuminated the surrounding darkness. He clenched his fist, "I guess this is enough... for now." He took a quick gaze around the room with a slight smile. "One last time." Conner grasped his phone and earphones as he lightly placed then into his ears, strange music played, he grinned with excitement as the rhythm of smooth and slow music followed through with his collected expression. A tap of his phone and his world emerged from his atmosphere...
