CHAPTER TWENTY-FOUR

Admitting that I actually did want to finally be with Jackson felt great,   But yet I was scared he wouldn't wanna be with me for many reasons
One: he sees me as a good friend that probably it.
Two: I'm a mess
Three: He just probably doesn't find me attractive.
Wait. Who am I kidding he probably does like me. That why he didn't want me to go out with Liam in the first place. Jackson does like me and I know it. I'm just putting it off because right now just didn't feel right. My mother's coming home tonight and I have to break the news that my father you know did the nasty with my ex-best friend mother. I hope she isn't too mad...Who am I kidding she's gonna be pissed and disappointed. She loved that man for over 20 years and just is now finding out that he was a cheater with not no random stranger but with my ex-best friends mother. I know I would be even though I was because he was my father. But anyways my mother is gonna be back in about 4 hours and I'm panicking right now. How am I gonna tell her? What exactly is she gonna do? What if she drives to her house and gets into a fight...I doubt that but possible. What if she's getting all these things and just throws them out? Na I kinda sorta actually never mind I actually wouldn't be surprised If she did.

Once I was done having my little panic attack I had realized I was still in Arias car.

"Carter Are you OK!" Aria says raising her voice.

"Yes, I'm fine..why?" I ask

"You..you looked like you just saw a gosht"

"Oh well I'm fine..it's just, my mom how am I gonna tell her "oh yeah and by the way, your husband of 20 years cheated on you with my ex- best friends mother" that not something someone would wanna come home to," I say starting to panic again.

"Carter you gonna be fine..what's the worst that can happen," she says and shrugs

"MANY THINGS ARIA! What if my mom kicks me out of the house?!"

"Carter your mom won't kick you out! Your thinking to much about it just relax..breath in and out" she says

And I do as told. Once I finally and actually calmed down we got out and made our way to the mall. There was definitely a lot of people here. I hate coming to the malls on The weekend there's always too many people. We made our way through the crowd and into a store.

"Carter omg this would look so cute on you," Aria says and grabs the dress.

"No it wouldn't," I say and walk away

"Uh Carter if your gonna act like that I'm gonna Tell Liam to come pick you up," she says right behind me

"I'm not acting like anything it's just it wouldn't look good on me," I say and shrug

"Fine then I'm gonna try it on," She says and walks into the dressing room.

I just stand by and go on my phone. My moms plane should be landing any minute now. But just because her plane landed doesn't mean she gets to come home right away she has to go straight to a meeting after that, then she finally comes home. While I was checking my phone I hear a familiar voice.

"Carter?" I look back and see Caden

I start to walk away. Why?! Please tell me Mother Nature WHY?!

"Carter" I hear Caden right behind me

"What?!" I stop immediately and turn around.
"What Caden?!"

"Um...Carter I.."

I shrug again.

"Carter please"

"Please What?"

"Please forgive me," He says

"Like I said before you've been forgiven...be we are still not friends"

"CADEN!" I see a familiar figure walking towards us

"Jackson?" I ask

"Is he bothering Carter?" Jackson ask

"No he's not..he was just gonna leave right Caden," I say

"Yeah...I'm Goodbye Carter," he says and walks away

"What are you doing here?" I ask

"Carter..we really need to talk," he says

"What But I'm shopping with Aria I can't just leave her here," I say

"It's about the affair," he says

My eyes go wide
"What?!"
"What do mean"

"Come on" he grabs my hand and we make our way out of the store and out of the mall and into his car.

"Carter...I found something out" he says

"What?" I ask

"Well Caden's mom came to your house and you weren't there but I was outside and said she's gone but even if she was there she probably wouldn't wanna talk to the women who slept with her dad after that she came  to my side and we started talking about the affair and how long how've you know and like are you ok..but she told me something that's...I don't know weird" he says

"What?! What did she say?" I ask

"She told me that the day your father and she had their the first affair your mom found out..."

"What?" I say in shock

"Carter...she told me that your mom and he weren't in a good place so she didn't care that he was cheating," he said

"She's lying Jackson," I say

"Carter I don't think she's lying," he says

"I'll prove it" I get my phone out and dial my moms' phone number.

"I'll prove it.," I put the phone of specked

Via Cellphone
"Hey honey..what's up," she asks

"Mom I have a question"

"Sure"

"Did dad cheat on you?"

Nothing.

"Did you know?"

Nothing again.

"Mom..did you know that he did it with Caden's mom?" I ask and a tear slides down

Nothing once again.

"She told me you knew and didn't care if he cheated," I say

Nothing.

"Mom?!" I raise my voice

"Carter can we talk when I get home," she says and right when she said that I knew Caden's mom wasn't lying...

I hang up immediately

"Carter.."

I start sobbing
"How?! WHY?! WHY ME! JACKSON WHY DOES THIS HAVE TO HAPPEN TO ME!

"Carter I'm sorry," he says

"Just take me home" is all I say.

On the way there totally silence.
Once we made it back I ran inside and into my room.

A few hours past and let's just say I've been in Bed all afternoon and my mom still hasn't come home...but in all honesty, I didn't really care. Aria called me earlier and got freaked out I was taken by some stranger. I told her what happened and she was in shock, she didn't really know what to say.

My lovely thoughts had gotten ruined by the knocking on my door.

"Sweetheart can we talk"

Ok, you can do this Carter...Your gonna be fine.

"Go Away!" I say..ok I didn't mean to say that it kinda just came out.
