The rest of the day I spent sleeping. Jackson was nice enough to give up his room just for me. I knew Jackson was right, everything happens for a reason. Friends are meant to stay friends forever. Caden messed up and he knows it, he understands that he and I won't even have the same connection we had before. Aria, in fact, talked to Caden too. She had said that she didn't wanna be friends with him either but I told her just Because we aren't friends doesn't mean you can't be friends.

But she had said that she couldn't stand a person that lied to her best friend for years. Which I was low key kinda glad. My mom on the other hand actually left. I guess her man back in New York matters more than me. I mean it definitely sucks thinking you have this great life. A great mother that you thought told you everything a great friend that you thought always told you everything. Then going to being lied to for several years by the people you love the most. Luckily for me, I still have Jackson and Aria, but I knew when my mother comes home no matter how much I hate her right now she's still my mother and she's all I have.

I need to fix things with her. I just couldn't leave things how it was. She my mom and I love her so darn much.

(A few weeks later)

Well, my mother and I figured things out that same day she got back. Yes, we yelled at each other and cried with one other, But most of all we figured things out. She told me the story of why her and my father didn't make it relationship wise. She had told me that they just really didn't feel the spark anymore. When they had me she told me that it was the best day of both their lives they try to keep the relationship for as long as possible but it just became difficult. After they would put me down she said it was nothing but arguing.

She also told me about the man in New York Apparently they met here and then she realized he had actually lived in New York. So she had promised him that she would come anytime she had the chance which was most of the time. No wonder she always came back with a happy spirit. But nevertheless, I was happy for her. She told me that soon he'll come so I can meet him.

Now Caden and I, on the other hand, are still on "no friends" term. I mean when we see each other we say hi and that's all. I loved Caden but I just couldn't bare looking at his face for more then 10 minutes without seeing and the lies he had told me.

Other then that Jackson and I are still amazing friends and so are aria and I but lately she's been with Alex all the time. Which I guess I didn't mind.

I was currently at lunch waiting for Jackson and aria to show up.

"Hello beautiful," Jackson says and sets his tray down.

"Hi" I reply back.

"Omg omg omg" Aria says running towards our table.

"What?" I ask

"Alex just asked me to PROM!" She says

"Oh wow" and yeah I forgot to mention proms almost here.

"So who you going with?" She asks Jackson.

"I'm not gonna go." He says

Ouch. That hurt.

"You?" She ask me

"Oh me...I don't know probably..not" I say

"No Carter you have to go..my best friend had to be there!" She says "today we are going prom dress shopping and I don't care what you say" she gets up and walks over to Alex and his friends.

"Uhhh," I say

Jackson laughs

I glare at him.

"It's not funny..why am I gonna get a prom dress if I'm not going to prom," I say

"Maybe some guy will ask you," he says. Yeah ok.

The day went on as usual. Once I was done with school,   Aria and I went shopping for dresses.

"Omg Carter this would look amazing on you" aria says.

The dress is a maroon color and it's actually really beautiful.

"Maybe" I say and grabbed the dress.

I go to the dressing room and try it on. Wow, it actually looks decent on me. I open the door and see Aria in Aw.

"Omg girl you look amazing" she says.

"Thanks" I turn back and look at myself in the mirror. I actually don't look bad. Once aria found her dress we went back to my house.

"So when's prom exactly" my mother ask

"It's in 2 days," Aria says

"Wait 2 days!" I say

"Yeah..I was kinda mad that Alex didn't ask me before but whatever he still asked me" she says.

"Do you have a date sweetie?"

"No..I don't and that's why I told Aria there was no reason to buy myself a dress."

"Ok quite it.. you're going" She says

"Hun can you please get me your dirty clothes" my mother asks

"Mom I washed my clothes yesterday," I say

"But earlier I saw some dirty clothes," she says

"Why'd you go into my room?" I ask

"Just go get it" She says

"Uhh" I get up from the couch and walk upstairs. I opened my room door to see

"Jackson?"

"Carter" he stands up and points to my bed.

I walk up to my bed and see roses that say: Prom?

I look back at Jackson.

"Of course" I say and he hugs me.

"Oh gosh I was so nervous you'd say no," he says

"And why would I say no?"

"I don't know"

I laugh "you know that your gonna pick put those roses right," I say

"yeah" he says.

I grab his hand and we make our way downstairs.

"You said yes?!" Aria and my mother ask me at the same time.

I smile

"AHAH SHE SAID YES!" They both jump up.

Jackson leads me outside

"I need to get home but..I'm glad you said yes," he says

"I'm glad I said yes too," I say and we both hug.
