I'm at this concert that my friend Bri dragged me along to. some guy named Charlie I think? I don't know but I know she's a pretty big fan. I think we sang his song see you again at my graduation lol.

The crowd is sooo hyped for this dude, he must be really talented. Even when I go to concerts that I don't really know who's playing, hyped fans make it 100x better. Like the vibe is just so much more fun and the energy is insane.

Some how we worked our way pretty close to the front by the end of the concert, and I ended up talking to one of the guys I saw hanging out in the VIP area. I think his name was Mark? Anyways he told the security gaurd to let me go past the rope so it seems like he was someone big, or at least connected to someone big. I left Bri by herself but I honestly don't even think she noticed because of how into the show she was.

"hey", mark said to me as pulled me by my hand into the VIP lounge, everything was a little quieter there for some reason.

"hey yourself", I laughed to him. He smiled at me and looked to the bartender. He started to order two drinks.

"can I get two vodka red bulls please"

I made eye contact with the bartender and cut in, "oh actually could you make one of those a water?"

The guy nodded and continued to do his job.

"Sorry, I really appreciate the offer but I actually don't drink", I said to Mark when I realize he was confused.

"No don't worry about it, do you mind me asking why?"

"Yeah yeah its fine ahah, I guess i just never was really interested in it and alcoholism runs in my family, so I figured why start you know?"

"yeah for sure, but like, are you ever gonna drink?"

i had literally heard that question a thousand times before, so i was used to it. but it was still kind of annoying that no one really understands.

"um probably not, I guess theres alot of bad memories with my family in stuff. It's fine for you to drink in front of me though, its just a me thing."

"Hey bartender, could I actually just get two waters, thanks." he gestured and then called out to the waiter.

He looked back at me and smiled. I smiled back and tilted my head down, just a little flustered. But in a good way.

we just talked for the rest of the concert, Mark seemed really nice. He was really sweet, and he tells me that he has his eyes on my friend, and I laugh and tell him that I could hook it up. As the show ends and I see Bri looking around for me before spotting me in the VIP area, Mark invites both of us to the tourbus after. Bri makes her way over and Mark tells the security to let her in, acting way too much like a gentleman to not let her know that he's interested. We sit and talk together for a little, me making my way off to let them talk alone. After a little bit when everything is a little less crowded, we walk over to the tour bus.
