"charlie stopp, ahah", I giggled as he threw another piece of popcorn at me, it getting in my hair this time.

"okay okay I'm sorry", he laughed. he threw one more piece at me, hitting me in the face,"butttt not that sorry."

I rolled my eyes and we both laughed together.

We spent what felt like hours talking and laughing. He was a lot nicer than I had expected him to be, I don't know, I guess I just never thought the type of  guy who has a dozen hit songs and millions of fans would ever look at me twice. But he did. We talked about our families and how much he missed New Jersey. I told him things that I've never told anyone before, and maybe that's because I didn't ever expect to see him again or maybe it was because of some kind of bond that we made. I don't know.

We were laughing when I heard the door to the back room of the tour bus open, out walking Bri, her hair all messed up.

"doesn't look like they remembered the water." Charlie whispered in my ear, making me laugh softly, trying not to let them hear.

Bri stumbled towards us and then to the door, glancing at me to leave. I got up from where we were sitting and started towards the door, and within my first step I felt a hand grab mine. I turned around to find Charlie grasping my hand.

"hey, I know this is kind of weird to ask... but do you think I could maybe see you again?"

I felt butterflies flutter around my stomach as I smiled to him at first, and then to myself.

"you know, I'd like that alot."

"are you gonna get her number dumbass?" Mark rolled his eyes from the doorway of the back room, his hair messed up too.

we both laughed, his a little more awkward than mine.

He looked up at me, his hands in his pockets, asking me with his eyes. I smiled and rolled mine at him.

"here." I picked up a pen laying next to me and scribbled my number on a sticky note.

I peeled it off the pad and stuck it onto Charlie shirt, letting my hand linger before pulling away.

He smiled and turn away to laugh to himself, running his hand up the back of his neck through his hair, which seemed to be his nervous tick.

I turned to the door, seeing Bri squint her eyes in annoyance as she was obviously ready to leave a few minutes ago.

"okay fine, lets go," I laughed grabbing her arm as she opened the door to the tour bus. I turned back to glance at Charlie, seeing him him bite his lip. We made eye contact and smiled, but after a few seconds I turned away.

Bri and I didn't talk the whole car ride home, I think she was tired from whatever happened with Mark, and I just wanted to think about Charlie.

I smiled to myself, alone in my car after having dropped Bri off.
