Meliora

As I stared at his retreating back, my mind hovered over Ethan's words. Zayn was trouble, and I had started seeing how. He definitely looked like a guy who played with a few if not a lot of women, specially with the ease of finding such women. I mean, most of them would kill to see him that way.

Oh my Lord, what as I even thinking? I shook my head to clear all the lascivious thoughts my mind kept brewing.

"I'm not going to your house," I objected, folding my hands against my chest. I would not fall for his playboy trap, I was too smart for that. If he thought otherwise, he was dead wrong.

He turned around again with an annoyed look plastered on his face. I could tell he was on the verge of exploding, but I stood my ground. After all, my virginity meant more than the answers. Or did it?

As I stood there debating the importance of my chastity, he took long strides and stopped at arms length. I had to focus on his face to distract myself from thinking about our proximity; it was taunting.

"Yes, you are," he said with a hint of authority laced in his voice.

A frown fell upon my face at his tone. What was he trying to prove with that authority? I was not one of his minions who he could boss around (he looked like he had several of them even though he lived in the middle of nowhere). Hell, I did not even consider him as an acquaintance.

I squared my back to appear taller than I already was and boldly stepped forward. He raised an eyebrow at my heroic attempt to stand up to him and gave a slight smirked.

"Make me," I challenged him, my voice dripping with derision.

The smirk soon faded away, and I realized what a big mistake it was to challenge him like that. He bent down abruptly, and I felt his hands wrap around my knee as he hoisted me on his shoulders. Panic overtook me as I frantically thrashed my arms on his steely back; it hurt me more than it must've hurt him. My legs were of no use since he had a strong grip around them; I had no nails to scratch him either, and I regretted biting them all the time.
