I sit behind the desk and try to think about something else. There's got to be something.

A single tear leaves my eye.

No, this can't be happening right now. I've been able to get rid of them always. I wipe the tear and take my phone.

Who can I call? I don't know anyone here yet, except Harry and those snobs from school. What's the leaders name? Rita? I think so.

I look through my contacts and decide to call grandma. She doesn't pick up.

Fine. I put my books on one of the few still empty shelves and head to the kitchen. I decide to make dinner. I turn to the fridge and take some ingredients. After I've prepared some chicken tortillas I eat one and put the rest back in the fridge for my dad.

I head upstairs and put my new clothes in my closet. It looks better now that it's filled. I had just a few clothes from at my mom's since I didn't want to leave her bedside to go shopping while she slowly drifted away from me. I walk through the hallway.

There I go again! I sigh.

"What's with the face, bumblebee?" My dad looks at me, concerned. I hadn't even seen him come in here.

"Nothing, I was just thinking about mom."

His face looses the smile. "Oh."

"I made you dinner if you want?" I try to lighten the conversation.

"Yeah, I'll have some later. I have some work to do."

He turns around and walks downstairs to the living room. I follow him and sit down to watch some tv. I take the remote and sit on the comfortable couch, turning the big tv on. I find a movie and leave it on.

I feel myself fall asleep on the couch and when I wake up it's already 11 PM.

I yawn and head upstairs. I crawl into bed and try to fall asleep but I can't. I've always had problems with sleeping. I don't like the fact that I can't reach a deep sleep or even a normal one. I linger between my dreams and the reality I feel around me. I've read about sleep countless times so I know what it should feel like. This is not it.

I turn around and find a comfortable position to sleep/be awake in. In the morning I don't hear my alarm. I forgot to put it on yesterday.

I still wake up at 9, like always. I decide to go for a run and hope to see Harry again. As I run through the lovely neighbourhood I can't seem to find the way I went yesterday. Oh, well. I guess no Harry today.

Smack.

"Damn it, stop doing that! He yells at me before bursting into laughing.

I laugh with him. I help him up.

" You're the one in my way when I run!" I snap sarcastically.

He smiles."I'll have to avoid the streets during morning then, will you text me when you finish running so I can go outside?"

I laugh. "No, but you can give me your number." I look at him hopefully.

That was the op most stupid way to ask someone's number.

He smiles at me and gets his phone out. I grab mine since I use it to motivate myself with music. After we exchange numbers we talk about school.

"Do you want to go together on the first day?" He asks.

"I'll try to get you in my busy schedule. I have soooo many friends here."

He laughs. I like his laugh, his teeth are shiny and bright and he looks younger with dimples in his cheeks.
