Jamie's POV
"Set up the candles" Kathy demanded.
"Why?" Zooey asked.
"Because I'm going to see if there's any evil spirits here" she explained.
"Be realistic Kath" I said smugly.
Zooey took the spell book off the shelf, while I was talking to Kath.
"Whats this?" Zooey asked being curious, as always.
"Dont touch that!" I shouted.
"Why?" she asked.
"Just dont touch it please" I sighed, while putting the book back on the unit.
They both looked at me curiously.
"Look... You just dont need to know, ok" I answered their unspoken question.
They nodded in agreement.
"Soo, why do you want to see if there's any spirits here Kath" Zooey asked.
"Well, I've been reading something about talking to the dead" she explained.
"Don't you need to go somewhere that's haunted or something" I asked while reorganizing my book shelves.
"Dunno, I just wanna try it anyway, haunted or not" Kath answered.
"So, do you have to chant anything to come into contact with the dead?" Zooey asked.
"No" she replied while setting the candles up, still.
"Then how do you contact them?" Zooey asked stumped.
"Are you actually being serious about this?" I asked.
"You'll never know" she said sarcastically.
"Until you contact the dead" Zooey cheered in a high pitched voice.
Oh, HELL NO!
"You sound like a mouse" Kathy said while over acting what had just taken place.
While we all burst out with laughter.
"So, where do you want to go?" Zooey asked while still giggling.
"Well, all I know is that you two have to go now" I said while still reorganizing the book shelves.
"Oh, special night Jamie" Kathy joked.
"What do you think" I said sarcastically.
"Well, I think a special someone is coming over, and you just want to get us out before he gets here" Zooey teased.
"There is no special someone" I said bluntly.
"You sure about that" Kathy teased.
"Positive" I answered.
"Mmhh. Sure Jamie" Zooey teased a bit more.
A near minuet passed until Kathy broke the silence.
"Zooey don't you think we should leave now" Kath insisted.
"Oh, yeah" Zooey replied.
They both stood up and started out of my room. Slowly.
"Walk faster" I demanded
They met my demand by walking faster, once the were out the house I started blowing the candles out that Kath has lighted, and put them back onto the unit just like before. Once I was done with that I heard my phone ringing, so I started over to the bed where I threw my phone earlier. When I picked the phone up I saw the caller was Amy.
"Hi Amy" I greeted, "Who are you with?" I asked curious to the voice I could hear in the background.
"Oh" I said.
One word Jason.
"Why?" I asked.
Just curious.
"Do you want me to come and get you?" I asked.
Just be nice.
"Mmhh" I hummed in response.
They're on a date! Why the FUCK would they be on a date? She said she didn't even like him!
"You said you didn't like him in that way?" I asked.
Trying not to sound pissed off and jealous.
"Nice!" I shouted.
I tried sooo hard to control myself... But I couldn't. Oops.
"No, he is not NICE! He's a sarcastic prick, NOT NICE!" I basically screamed through the phone.
I had to vent.
"Ok, fine, bye!" I shouted at her.
I ended the call, and threw the phone on my bed.
"Nice, he's nowhere near NICE" I whispered to myself, "They'll be the newest couple at school by tomorrow" I sneered, "Or just another one of Amy's hook up's, wouldn't be surprising" I whispered.
I took pleasure in saying that.
I threw myself onto the bed, and grabbed the TV controlarted to skip through the channels until I found a film that's worth watching, that's in my opinion. I turn the lamp off which is on my bedside table, and watches the film slowly drifting to sleep.
