"Hello?"
"Oh! She finally answers."
"Yeah. Sorry. I've been... Having problems."
"What kind of problems?"
"No, It's nothing-"
"You know it's not nothing. You can tell me anything Angie."
"Okay. Remember how I said my parents were having troubles and my mom was a bit violent towards my father?"
"Yes."
"Well, the other day I was sticking up for my dad."
"Okay?"
"Mom didn't like that."
"What happened?"
"No need to yell."
"Sorry."
"She hit me a lot. And my dad didn't do anything. At least, they had the common sense to take me to the freaking hospital. But they lied. Said I got into a fight at school. That's where I've been. Unconscious in a hospital. I just woke up an hour ago, and then you called. Sorry for not answering."
"Don't sweat it. But you need to get out of that house."
"I'm actually in a hospital."
"This isn't a time to be joking Angela."
"It's my problem okay Kendall. Just because we talk a couple times on the phone doesn't mean we're best friends or that you can tell me what to do."
"Well I care!"
"I never asked you to care!"
"Without me no one would care about you!"
"..."
"..."
"You're right. No one cares about me. Goodbye."
"Wait Angie I'm sorry."
