Lexi's POV

I honestly can't believe Joey would do something like that. I mean I would expect it if he was doing it to just me , but Delanie too ? He said he loved us , and then cheated on me with another girl ? And Delanie had to witness it.

But right now were are on our way to Shane's house because I don't have anywhere else to go. I sold my house back in LA and I don't have enough money to make it back there and rent a house. So the only other option is to drive 3 hours to my Shane's in Los Angeles.

3 HOURS LATER

Me and Delanie walk up to Shane's door. And Delanie makes a big fuss about knocking on the door.

Delanie: Mommy I wanna knock! I wanna do it ! Pleeeeaassseeee?!

After all her fussing i finally give in , considering it wasn't that big of a deal.

We waited for a moment , and then Shane answered the door with a child , which I presumably think is his own.

Shane: Hey Lexi! Hi Delanie! This is Baylee. My 4 year old daughter.

Delanie: Hi uncle shaney! Hi baylee.

Delanie seemed rather shy infront of Baylee. But I dont pay much attention to it.

Lexi: Hey Shane. Thanks for letting me and Delanie stay here.

Shane: Yeah no problem. Do you wanna talk about it ?

Lexi: No not really.

Shane: okay we'll the guest room is yours. make yourself at home.

After me and Shane get done talking , I tell Delanie to go play with Baylee , while I take our stuff upstairs.

After about an hour I finally made it to the bottom of Delanies suitcase. I was about to put away the last thing until something caught my eye. a small item wrapped up in a paper towel. I unwrapped it and saw what was inside. It was a small picture of Joey. Part of me wanted to just get rid of it but I didnt have the heart to do that to Delanie. So I just put it back the way it was when I found it.

I get a text from Anthony Padillia.

TEXT FROM: Anthony

hey ! were having a party tonight , do you wanna come ?

L: sure. just one question.

A: yeah ?

L: is joey going to be there ?

A: well yeah we had planned on it.

I hesitated responding. I wasn't going to let joey ruin my night tonight.

L: okay. I'll be there. but how have you been Anthony?

A: not very good. me and kalel broke up.

L: aw Anthony. are you inviting someone special tonight ?

A: yeah. but she just broke up with her boyfriend , so I doubt she'll be into me like that.

L: but it's worth a shot right ? well I have to go get ready , but I'll text you when I am getting ready to leave. bye !

I know this is gonna be a good night. I hope.
