I Just Want Her Back

Joey's POV

Joey: Lexi Anne-Marie Dawson, will you do me the absolute honor in marrying me, and being my wife?

Lexi: I-I can't......

Joey: W-what?

Lexi went to grab the camera and shut it off.

Joey: Why?

Lexi: I'm sorry Joey.... I just cant...

I went to go put my stuff in the bonus room when I heard a small voice behind me.

Delanie: Daddy?

Joey: Yes sweetheart?

Delanie: Mommy cant....

Joey: I know sweetie..

I started to walk away again.

Delanie: Say no to you.

I stopped. Did she say what I thought she did. I turned around to see Lexi and Delanie beind me with smiles on their faces.

Joey: Seriously?

Lexi: Mhm.

I dropped all of my stuff where I was and they ran into my arms. I will finally have my life back....or so I thought.

Lexi's POV

I wake up the next morning with my lovely finace at my side. He is still sleeping, though I am surprised, I thought the brightness of the sun would be enough to wake him up. I guess not.

I heard his phone go off, and I thought I should check it, but then I realized that would be invasive. But then it went off another time, and another, and another. So eventually I decided to crawl out from under the covers and go check it.

I looked at the phone and saw the messages, so I unlocked the phone and started to read.

TEXT FROM: Hannah <3

Hey babe, when do you think you'll come back to LA, after telling that tramp that you're with me now.

TEXT FROM: Hannah <3

I miss you so much baby. Please come home and cuddle with me? I love you.

TEXT FROM: Hannah <3

Are you with that slut you call "Lexi"? you two are not together anymore , we are. Love you.

After that I just couldn't read on. I was so angry. I couldn't believe him, he just tried to make things right by cheating on me?

I left him a note for when he wakes up:

Joey,

I love you, but I can't be with you. I saw the text messages from Hannah and I just can't believe you anymore. I'm taking Delanie and were going somewhere where you cant hurt us.

I left it on the counter and taped the ring to the back of it. I woke Delanie up and told her we were going to Grandmas so "daddy" could go get his stuff from LA.

Once we were all packed, we left, without another word.

I woke up and Lexi wasn't here. So I went to check on Delanie, and she wasnt there either.

I thought maybe they just went to the store or something until i went into the kitchen.

I found a note that Lexi left, so i read it.

Joey,

I love you, but I can't be with you. I saw the text messages from Hannah and I just can't believe you anymore. I'm taking Delanie and were going somewhere where you cant hurt us.

Hannah? I broke up with her a month ago. And the only reason she knew i was coming to San Fran is because of my tweets. And she put her contact in that way when we ran into eachother at starbucks. She figured out my password.

I looked on the back of the note and the engagement ring was taped to the back. I can;t believe Lexi left me. I have to get her back. But how? I dont know where she went. I just want her back.
