I see Steve on the ground and everyone crowds around him. Am I a murderer? I pause. No i cant be.
Thor picks up Steve's wrist. "No pulse," he said.
Natasha gentley hit the side of Steve's face a few times. Nothing.
Loki tried flashing a light from his spear a few times In Steve's face. Still nothing.
Steve's head had a large red spot on the side of his face. His shield has chipped paint from when it struck the floor.
Steve didn't stir. They all had tried everything and none of it worked.
Loki and Thor gave up and walked over to look solumnley out the window. And soon they all gave up.
So it really happened. I think, with a lump in my throat. I really am a murderer.
