Quartz's POV
I walk out.
A stadium of people are in the seats.
I smile confidently.
I'm lying, obviously. The Sire stands; he's wearing red and blue shorts, I'm wearing stretchy leggings, a sports bra, and a black vest.
"3! 2! 1!"
The second the one is said, I punch Alex.
Again and again.
Then a kick to my stomach.
I fall.
I feel so many hits.
I see her.
I see Laura.
She's cheering.
I smile.
Stand.
Hit.
He falls.
I jump onto him.
Everyone is cheering for him.
Except for Laura.
I'm punching him. And winning.
Then I get up.
My heart is beating out of my chest, he doesn't get up.
He's unconscious.
He looks dead.
I wait.
He finally stands up. He's lost.
Second round.
Never comes.
He gives up.
I look for Laura.
She's not there.
She left me.
I walk on the roof.
I jump.
Close my eyes.
And land on something.
I open my eyes.
I'm on this odd flying machine. It's like a giant basket with a hot air balloon in the middle with a steering wheel. And Laura.
I'm alive. And we're together. Together forever, I guess. I feel more and more like we were put on the world to change it, to have fun, to be normal, to be together. To live through fires, fights and riots. To live and love. To kiss. To dance. To train. To be completely in love. To be whole. To be in injuries. To recover. To preform.
And also to finish the chain of The Lost Lovers.
"You... you never left..." I say,
"Why would I?" She smiles,
"I don't know." I realise,
"You ok?" She asks,
"Obviously." I kiss her.

Finally! It's done. I'm going to write a small epilogue to finish it off because I don't want to end it so suddenly.
