I bang on her door but am returned with no answer. I brace myself for whatever I may see and go in, only to see the human sitting on her bed singing to the song. I walk quickly to her little speaker and turn it off, breaking it in the process. "Hey!" "Keep your place weak human for if you tread on uncharted ground, you will be killed!" "So?" "The other mortals have memory of you as kind, what brought you to this brat you now take form as?" "Realization." As I nod in understanding, she starts to draw. "I have duties to attend to, I shall leave you with a warning, do not interrupt what little peace I endure." She doesn't even look up at me as I leave.
As I walk down the hall, I start to hear whimpers escaping one of the 'interrogation' rooms we have placed a captive in. I enter the room after I pause to think about it, and see a girl, Caroline... I think... Quietly whimpering with tear stained cheeks. She's staring at... well, nothing really. She doesn't even seem to notice my presence at all. I move in front of her, without being noticed, and place my hands on the sides of her head. I almost fall back at what I see.
