Paris's POV-

"Oh my god where is the water when in need it?" I sigh trying to catch my breath letting the cool air hit my skin, "Lisa were not even allowed to be in here imagine how Evan or jade would react."

She turns around looking at me narrowing her eyes sweat running down her forehead.

"For one Jace is your mate you have an advantage, and two Evan? I swear to the goddess if he raises his voice at me I will knock him out."

She smiled at me innocently before taking out two juice boxes. "I guess but Jace hasn't been sweet to me either." I hear Lisa snicker.

"I'm surprised considering he loves you more then himself." I blush, "C'mon loosen up, you'll find that special mate some day."

Yeah shakes her head chuckling. I closed my eyes slightly and realized that today we were training I with the rogues. "Oh shit."

Lisa turns around and looks at me with curious eyes, "Something wrong?" I stare at her wide eyes.

"We're training with rogues today." She groans and covers her face with her hands. "God you didn't have to remind me."

I chuckle maybe it wouldn't be that bad. "C'mon we gotta get going." I hear Lisa mumble some profanities on our way out.

Me and Lisa were able to sneak back into training without anyone noticing us, me and Lisa were working on speed and coordination until we heard a whistle.

We snapped our heads to the sound and me and Jace's eyes connected before he looked away I mentally sigh, he's been so stressed out lately I would understand why but did that mean him avoiding me constantly?

I fold my arms across my chest, and I hear Evan's footsteps approaching us with a group of men and women behind him if I said that they looked like professional fitted wolves, I'd be lying.

They all had this certain glare I flinched when I saw one of them glaring at me Jace must've noticed when he growled.

I looked away and stared at the ground. I heard mumbles and talking and then Evan started to speak using his alpha authority, "As we all know there is an upcoming war approaching and our enemies were fighting fire with fire, so I thought why not do the same."

His face broke out into a twisted smiling making me shiver.

"We will have rogues next to us fighting for their life, you guys had four weeks to train and now the rouges will be training with you guys for the remaining of two months."

I heard groans and some excitement radiating off of the members.

"We are also recovering more rogues they will arrive tomorrow please be prepared." I stared at Jace while he spoke I noticed how he had bags under his eyes and he was more tensed then he usually is.

I've also noticed how his grip on me when we were sleeping was tighter and in the morning I would wake up to see him gone.

It was a few hours of training just roaming the land testing our speed, me and Lisa were just racing each other until we heard a scream.

Me and Lisa immediately stopped my ears perked up high and I hear a growl and several more growls.

Me and Lisa snap our heads to the direction of the sounds, and I hear something in the bushes.

I growl lowly, I was never violent but for some reason this time made me feel different.

Before I knew it a wolf has jumped on Lisa, I growl and I am already running towards him as he bares his teeth at her.
