Jace's POV-

I open my eyes and take a whiff of the air to be intoxicated by her heavenly scent-if only I could stay and just hold her to myself.

I snap my eyes shut again and let out a loud sigh I knew I had training to get to if I knew I was going to endure this much stress I wouldn't of agreed it would've been better for me and Paris.

I've realized how I've became so distanced from Paris and my close friends more to myself, then I just finally realized that I've been under a lot of stress and all the pressure from Evan.

I quietly open an eye and look at my beautiful mate wrapped in my embrace, I gently unwrap myself from Paris and I sit up my back towards her sleeping form.

I standing up and glance at Paris one more time before making my way to the bathroom.

I take a look in the mirror and I can't believe how much my appearance has changed, who knew that only a few months ago I would've never thought this person would be me.

I sigh again and splash the cold water on my face but freeze when an incoming link message comes from pack member.

"Jace Evan wants to discuss something important with you soon please come down to his office."

"Alright I'll be there."

"Thank you, alpha."

Great more weight added to the load-I slip on a blue t-shirt and some basketball shorts sparing Paris one more glance I was out the door making my way down to Evans office.

"Come in." I open the door not bothering to say a word and make my way to his desk and sit down with a thump.

"Jace they have left another sign, a threat." My jaws clench and my nose a flaring.

"What have they done now?" Evan closes his eyes for a second trying to calm his breathing just as I am trying to do.

"They have crossed territory but they immediately spoke out the words and committed suicide after speaking." My eyebrows furrow together.

"Do you know what they said?" Evan scratches the back of his head before continuing.

"I haven't gotten the full details but all I've been informed of is that the person said they were coming a day or two earlier then expected."

I laugh, "And what kind of fool would do that? Wouldn't they want to I don't know surprise us?"

"I don't know what's with you lately but I don't like it and I'm glad we've been informed that they're coming earlier then expected." I sigh.

"So that means harder training."

"And a change of plans." I narrow my eyes at Evan, "No you can't change plans now, not when everything was thoughtfully planned out were going to continue with the plan."

Evan stands up from his seat his anger radiating off of him, "Jace think! They're coming earlier then expected what if they come a week earlier? For all we know they could be coming tomorrow! Things like this we have to be ready for even if we do get attacked unexpectedly."

"I realize that Evan but we can't change plans and put our loved ones at risk." Evan stares at me for a long time, "And who said I was putting my loved ones at risk?"

My eyebrows knit together, "What're you saying?"

"What I'm saying is, we don't have to put our loved ones at risk when the rogues are what we got."

I fold my arms and close my eyes, "Look we only have about fifty to sixty rogues that wouldn't be enough to take down a whole pack of hunters."

I hear silence and shuffling, "They're coming Jace, the rogues have called friends and they're willing to help us."
