*^Fun Fact: Spooky the owl was originally a character developed by Butch Hartman that was intended to be Danny Phantom's sidekick in the show. Sadly, the Harry Potter movies had just come out and Hedwig was too similar to Spooky, so the idea was dropped. RIP Spooky the Owl, may you forever live in this story.^*
"Now, I want you all to remember," Dora started, as the class arrived at the front gates of the castle. "This castle is no decoration, it is my home. As such, you shall not wander about going into rooms that are not your own and you shall not speak disrespectfully to any of the staff that are working. There will always be a knight accompanying you, so if you need anything you may ask them. Understand?"
Everyone nodded quickly.
"Good. Now follow me."
The two knights that guarded the gate stepped aside and bowed. Dora dipped her head before entering; Danny, who carried his daughter, only held his head higher.
The walk from the gate to the great castle doors was breathtaking. A trail of smooth, stone lay between rows of flowers and trees. The plants were unlike any other. Flower petals shimmered and faded between many colors. The tree branches curled in an arch over the path.
"Wow D, you've done a lot with the kingdom since the last time we were here. Even the village seems so updated." Sam complimented.
"Great Gatsby, this is... spectacular. I've never seen such plants before!" Lancer awed. His amazement was shared, even between two of the trio, all except Danny.
Danny stood at the entrance to the garden looking around nervously. When the princess noticed, she stopped the group.
"My king, is something the matter?" Her eyebrows furrowed in confusion.
"N-no, everything is fine, you go on ahead" Danny stuttered.
"Is Fenton... scared?" Dash whispered, not mockingly, but almost concerned.
"I do not believe it is fine, do not feel guilt in telling me why." Dora expression hardened.
"It's just that..." Danny sighed and took a step forward. Everyone jumped back.
The plants on either side of Danny erupted into green fire. He looked up only slightly, yet anyone could see his glowing eyes. He stepped back off the path; the plants returned to normal.
"I think it'd be safer if I took the 'back entrance'." Danny flashed his eyes green, quickly enough for Sam and Tucker to see, but not the class.
"You're the king, do as you wish," Dora bowed, smirking. Danny gave her a 'you know I hate it when you treat me like royalty even though I'm a normal ghost/person' look. She smiled innocently.
Danny, still holding Elle, backed away from the garden and turned a corner, leaving the class in shock.
"Why did the plants catch fire, Ms.Ghostlady?" Mikey squeaked.
"I am unsure, and you may call me Princess Dora." She truly did not know why the plants caught fire.
Tucker cleared his throat, "Shall we make our way into the castle?" He suggested.
"Ah yes! Right this way,"
They made their way through the large garden to the huge wooden doors of the castle. As the group approached the doors creaked as they slowly moved apart, allowing them inside.
When they entered they found Danny standing in the center of the room. He repositioned his feet as if he had just stood up. Elle was no where to be seen.
