Shyloh's P.O.V.
Rowan leaned in and kissed me. I wasn't expecting it at all. I never knew he felt this way towards me. I hesitated before kissing back but I immediatly pulled away. Rowan looked hurt. "Sorry. I got carried away. I'll just leave now." Rowan said softly with pain in his voice. Tears welled up in my eyes. "Rowan, I'm sorry. I just-" He cut me off. "You just don't feel the same. You never did, did you? It was always just me who had feelings for his best friend. You know, when we were kids I always hoped that maybe, just maybe, you could like me back. I was young and stupid and I guess I still am because even after all of this I still believe that there's a part of you that could love me if you just tried." Teaars fell from my eyes now. "Rowan, it's not like that. I do feel the same! I do! I just, I don't know." Rowan turned to face me now. "What, Shyloh? What don't you know? Or rather, what can't you do? Because I've known you for a long time. It's not that you don't know it's that you can't do. You can't let yourself forgive me, right? For not telling you about Skylar. I get it. I really-" This time I cut him off. "No Rowan! I can't forgive myself!"
I sunk to the ground crying. Rowan looked confused. "What do you mean?" He asked sitting next to me. "I mean, you didn't tell me about Skylar. I was hurt still and I never- I never told you about Ariel." "What about Ariel, Shyloh?" I looked up at him. "She cheated twice. I caught her." Rowan looked at me hurt then after a moment he spoke.
"You never told me?"
