Daisuke, Kenji, Renzo, Meiko and I where all in the front of the house waiting for Sasuke to come home. Naruto had assigned Sasuke a two week mission, Naruto told me Sasuke had sent a message saying everything was going to plan. He was on his way home, as long as everything on his way home went smoothly he should be arriving today. The kids wanted to meet him at the village gate, but I told them we should wait at home. He has a lot to talk to Naruto about. One being the mission report. Two being not leaving the village as much.
Daisuke is now 13 and out of the academy. He was the top of his class and the top genin. Kenji and Renzo are 12 and in their last year of academy. They are both tied for top of their class and do everything together. Meiko is now 10 years old and is catching up to her bothers quickly. She loves her brothers and trains with them ever chance she gets. All three of them love her just as much and will do anything to keep her safe. I remember the first time Sasuke left for a mission after she was born. She was two years old and looked at him with her big obsidian orbs and asked him why he had to leave for so long. He said he had to go beat the bad guys to keep of safe. He gave he a kiss on the forehead like the rest of the children and gave me a lingering kiss on the top of my head and made his way out of the village. Just like he did every time he left for a mission, no matter how short.
I soon felt my husbands chakra getting closer, and it seems my children noticed as well because they stopped messing around and started to make their way back over to me. Daisuke was on my right, the twins and Meiko were on my left. Meiko held my hand tightly, she always misses him a lot when he is away. Once he was in view Meiko was the first to run to him, Kenji and Renzo were soon to follow. Daisuke stayed by me, hands in his pockets acting like he didn't want to run to his father and tell him what he and his team have been up to. I chuckled to myself before looking back at the others. Meiko was in her fathers arms, arms wrapped around his neck, face buried in his neck no doubt holding back her tears. Kenji and Renzo soon join in wrapping their arms around their father and sister the best they could. Sasuke knelt down and hugged all of them the best he could. He waited a good minute before letting the boys go and standing back to his full height. Once in front of me he gave Meiko a kiss on her forehead before putting her back onto the ground. He looked at Daisuke and ruffled his hair with a small smile upon his face. Daisuke just swatted his dad's hand away, stepping forward and into burying his face into his father's shirt, hugging his father tightly. Sasuke hugged him back, muttering something making Daisuke nod his head and let go. Daisuke grabbed his siblings and headed into the house. Sasuke looked into my eyes before pulling me forward and into a tight hug. "I missed all of you so much." Was all he whispered before pulling me in for a kiss.
