Eric walked through Griare Main Mental Institute halls with enthusiasm; it didn’t seem dull as before. Bryanna changed him. He used to think the mentally-challenged people were freaks, but know he thought to himself, ‘What I thought were rejects of society, were actually poor, unfortunate souls yearning for compassion.’ The curly, dark-haired girl who couldn’t talk made a great impact on him in a short amount of time. In one quick and fluid motion, Bryanna scribbled a reply on her whiteboard. “Good morning to you too.” Eric nodded, the corner of his mouth twitching, signaling that he was holding back a smile. “Well, today we’re doing something different.” Eric told her, “We’re going outside.” Bryanna’s eyes reflected surprise. Eric decided to clear things up. “You’ve deemed yourself enough to be able to go outside once in a while, with supervision of course.” Bryanna had the ghost of a smile on her lips; Eric gave a similar smile in return. “It isn’t very healthy to stay inside for too long. Eric said when Bryanna wrote “Thank you” on the whiteboard.
