Eric came to a conclusion that Bryanna might have Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. She might have had a traumatic experience, then fell into depression which caused her to become like this. The diagnosis criteria for PTSD were:
Exposure to Traumatic event
Flashbacks
Avoidance of Flashback Triggers
Difficulty in Sleeping
Duration of symptoms for more than a month
Problems with work and relationships
So far, Bryanna fits in d, e and f. Eric would have to find out more about her if he wanted to be sure, he’d also need to wait for her medical report. Eric looked at the trio and spoke, “Bryanna might have PTSD, not entirely sure but it is most possible. I’ve seen and dealt with several PTSD patients before, and they act like this more or less.” He stood up and walked around the room, “Bryanna may have experienced a traumatic event which led her into her current state.”
Eric did not miss Bryanna’s flinch, it meant that he had a high chance of being right, he did not want to jump to conclusions though. “I don’t know what she’s traumatized about though, but I will call you as soon as possible when I find out. Until then, Bryanna shall be in Sector E, under the care of a skillful psychologist who is also my trusted colleague, Ralph Cross. Her psychiatrist shall be Jane Laurent, who is also proficient and a trusted colleague.” He then reassured them that he would check on her once a week, Eric bade them farewell and left them in Iris’ care. Eric walked out of the door and into the wide lobby and sighed, “I need a frappuccino.” He groaned, the image of Bryanna’s stoic face still on his mind.
