To share in my little joys.
To hear your jolly laugh
Would be a lovely noise.
I feel a little empty
Without you by my side.
The thought of losing you
Has brought tears to my eyes.
But I know that you are traveling
And are only gone for a little while,
So I can't wait for your return
And with it, my great big smile.
Thus I will be devoted
To daily prayers for you,
Asking God's hand of guidance
And protection over you.
