Mark sighed, taking the hood off his head, looking at him with that regret again.

"Sean...I can explain."

"Don't even bother.." Sean said, his voice trembling. "I pieced it together already...even before we did what happened earlier..." He took a step closer. "I fucking knew this was all a lie...you did all these crimes we've been seeing on TV and in the papers.."

Mark didn't even say anything as he came closer, the knife still between them. "I can't even believe I fell for this...all to be tricked in the end of it all.."

"Sean I--"

"Shut UP!" Sean snapped, locking the front door. "You're not going anywhere now."

"Sean.." Mark said, that urge to kill rising in him. "Don't do this..."

"Do what?" Sean spat. "Make you and try and kill me?"

Do it, Mark. Make him pay for finding out about your secret.

Mark flinched at the sound of that voice, the darkness rising inside him like a tidal wave just like it does before he does his job.

"Sean.." He let out a yell of pain, holding his head. "Don't...please!"

"You know you won't.." Sean said.

Mark suddenly laughed, looking up at him, that scary smile on his face. "You shouldn't have urged me to do this."

Going at him, he spun Sean around, his back hitting the wall, making him grunt in pain. He stared into Mark's dark eyes, fear in his voice. "Why? Why would you do this to me, Mark? To us?"

Leaning in close, Mark's voice was neutral. "Because it's what I do."

Taking out his gun, he pointed it at his face. "I don't want to hurt you, Sean. But there are some things about me that even you don't understand." That smile was there again. "I want to help you understand them...Please. Let me."

Sean just stood there baffled. Mark had a gun pointed right at him! Why would he want to trust him now? After everything he has done? He doesn't know what to think about him anymore.

"Mark..." He whispered. "I...I can't trust you anymore. Not after what you've done..." Fresh tears fell down his face, not even bothering to stop them. "You're a murderer."

Mark's face fell from regret to scary, an evil glint in his eyes. "So be it..."

He was about to fire when Sean came at him, swatting it away, kicking him in the leg. Watching him fall, he didn't even care about him being in pain at this point. Knife in hand, he knelt down, about to stab him when Mark raised his arms, trying to stop him from finishing the job. He pushed with all he had, gritting his teeth, his mind yelling at him to stop. But Sean didn't want to stop.

Mark shoved him off, snatching the knife from Sean, about to do what he couldn't when he rolled away, Mark stabbing the floor. Yanking it out, he let out a yell of frustration as he stood.

"I will not lose!!!" He snapped.

"Just accept the fact that you will!" Sean snapped back. "I don't even know who you are anymore!"

Mark tackled him, the two of them falling down onto the couch, Mark struggling to get his gun back out. Sean snatched the knife from Mark's pocket, slicing it across his forearm. Screaming in pain, he looked at the now long gash along his skin. Distracted long enough, Sean stood back up.

Do it.

Sean jolted a little. Did he just hear a voice in his head?

Finish it, Sean.

He suddenly had that same urge, Mark charging at him again when he let out a loud scream before shoving the knife into Mark's gut. Eyes widening, he looked down, seeing that the hilt was the only thing showing. Sean got flashbacks to his dream, only it was Mark at the end of the hilt, the blade through Sean's stomach. But this was the opposite.

Mark fell down to the floor, blood seeping out of his mouth and where the knife sat. Sean felt it on his hands, but he didn't even bother to wipe it off.

"S-S-Sean.." Mark stammered. "Wh-Why?"

"You know why, you psychopath." Sean hissed. "And I'm not done yet."

Feeling that urge kick in again, he constantly threw his fists across his face, red spraying everywhere. He kept going, and going, and going. At some point, he felt a smile stretch across his face.

The sound of sirens snapped him out of it, forgetting he called the cops before Mark came back. Looking at Mark's now dead body, his blood covered Sean's hands completely. Slightly panicking, he stood, his hands shaking. He never thought he would do something like this. He's never, in his entire life, beat the ever living shit out of one of his friends or anyone he knew.

Hearing voices, he looked up towards the door just as the cops came piling in.

"You Sean McLoughlin?" Officer Jake asked. He nodded numbly. "I'm Officer Jake..and I can see it looks like he put up quite the fight..is that true?"

Sean nodded again. "Ye..Yeah..he did...." He let out a big breath. "Look, I didn't mean to stab him I--"

"You did it to defend yourself, Sean." He said, the cops taking Mark's body away behind him. "Although it's highly frowned upon in some cases, this was an act of defense. You did what you had to do." They both looked at the blood all over the place. "I suggest getting that cleaned up right away...don't want this to dry up."

Sean nodded again, Officer Jake tipping his hat to him before leaving.

Once it was quiet, he stiffly sat down on the couch. He can still hear the crack of bones on Mark's face each time he punched him, the rip of the skin as he shoved the knife through his gut. And then...that voice...that told him to finish it.

It's all your fault.

Sean tensed up. "Who are you?" He asked. "Why're you in my head?? Why do you sound like me??"

Oh, silly boy. I've always been there...you just never knew until now. When you killed him with your own bare hands. Admit it..you loved every second of it.

Sean shook his head. "N-NO! You're wrong!!"

Afraid not, Jack..And now it's my turn.

He suddenly felt a searing pain go through his head, making him yell as he fell to his knees. "NO!!!! GET OUT!!!!"

He heard a giggle, but it came from his mouth, and he immediately stopped. "What're you doing to me?? WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME??!!"

He giggled again as the pain went away, but this time..it was more maniacal. Snapping out of it once more, he began to freak out. "LEAVE ME ALONE!!!" He screamed.

Never...you're mine now.

Sean started crying, clawing his hands in his hair. "NO!!!! I WON'T...BE LIKE HIM!!!"

He didn't hear the door being bashed down again, his ears ringing. Feeling hands grabbing him, he tried to fight them off, but he saw a flash of blue light, followed by a biting pain on his side. Falling down again, the last thing he felt were hands holding him by the arms. The last thing he heard..was that voice...
