Chapter 17

Nico POV (Again)

It's 12:00 am, and I'm still awake. Why me?

No, I know why it's me. It's because I'm scared. I'm scared that I'm going to get nightmares. They have been acting up lately, and the only ones who can calm me down are Hazel and Will.

Drachmas.

Annabeth tolled me to IM her if I needed to.

I walk over to the bathroom, and get out a drachma.

I can't IM Annabeth right now. She's in the same room with a bunch of mortals. Same with Hazel, and Piper.

But Will is at Camp. Maybe I can IM him.

"Oh, Iris, goddess of rainbows, accept my offering, show me Will Solace at Camp Half Blood."

The rainbow shimmers into existence.

I see Will Solace. The side of his face is squished up against the pillow and he's drooling a little, but he still looks like a beautiful ray of sunshine to me.

Well I can't wake him up- he looks too peaceful.

"Sweet dreams, Solace." I say.

I'm about to slice my hand through the rainbow, but Will starts to stretch a little. His eyes slowly open.

"Huh...? ..Nico...?" He groans.

"Yeah, it's me, now go back to sleep." I coo.

Will asks, "Wait, w-why are you in a school bathroom?"

"We're snowed in so we're staying at the school tonight." I explain.  

"Oh." He rubs his eyes. "Are you okay with that? Do you want to talk?"

"I'm fine." I lie.

Will saw through the fib. "What's bothering you, love?"

I feel my face heat up at the nickname. "I'm just.... Worried."

"About...?"

"Nightmares." I say quietly.

"Hey, it's okay," Will said, "Just remember those breathing exercises to help you calm down- Breath in, hold, breath out."

I imitate what Will's doing and it calms me down.

"Do you have your iPod?" He asks.

"Yes." I reply.

"It might help if you play some calming music, like piano, or guitar."

I nod my head. "Thanks, Will."

"Of course, darling."

I slice my hand through the mist and suddenly I'm alone in the bathroom again.

Oh my gods, I'm sooooo sorry I didn't update for so long!! I'll try to update more often, but I have more stories now, so it takes up a lot of my time. Speaking of my other stories, do ya'll want to go read them? Maybe? No? Okay.
