The ocean is calm and peaceful. Not a wave or ripple. No movement, no noise, except the sound of footsteps splashing on the surface of the water. The moonlight is glowing a brilliant white, showering down on a her onyx hair. She stops and looks to the moon, her silver eyes twinkling. "Luna?" She calls, her voice soft and sweet.
Veronica's eyes open and before she has even realised she is awake, something wet and slimy slides across her face. "Caesar!" She chokes out trying not to get dog tongue in her mouth. The husky's paws are digging into her ribs and it doesn't feel good at all. "Caesar get off you beast!" She pushes the dopey animal off the bed and tries to go back to sleep. Seconds after she closes her eyes, her ears are assaulted by loud barks. "Shut up Caesar!" She moans, but the dog doesn't stop until Veronica is up and out of bed.
The morning sun is bright, even through her curtains. Veronica is practically blind as she feels around her bedside draw. She pulls out a small book with a leather cover, opens it and flicks to a clear page. She fumbles through her draw looking for a pen or something to write with, a pencil will have to do. Veronica begins to write in the book.
I had the dream again, this time I walked much further. When I stopped I felt compelled to look at the moon. Also I was calling for Luna... Who is Luna?
