Hey People, this story is my first (first story and fan-fic), and not written in my usual category. Hopefully it's good enough... I'll be updating chapter by chapter... It's a modern day tale of the movie Tangled... It doesn't have the same names, but the plot goes along the same line as the movie... Enjoy  :D

If telling you a story like this, took this long; I'd hate to find out how long my life story would take! So, I'm gonna skip my story completely- and tell you Annabelle's instead...

Okay, I wasn't fully honest with you. It is mainly about me (until it get's exciting) and I can only tell you my side of this. So here goes.........Sunny, hot Florida- my temporary home. It treats me as well as I treat it- which isn't that good! I'm not proud of stealing, in fact; I like to think of it as borrowing without returning whatever it is. But the law doesn't share my point of view, so I'm running...

It was 6 am in the morning, and with the sun, the realisation had finally dawned on me. I've got it! And I left the two brutes behind me. Ha! The look on those ugly faces when I ran, was simply satisfying, what idiots! I'm not even sure if I could trust myself! I turned down the path to my left, into the residential area. I walked with my backpack in my hand, and sitting deep within the bag was my prize. Strolling along casually, I admired each of the Miami Mansions, and imagined what other luxuries waited within them. Jewelery, paintings worth thousands, antiques, money and- "CRAP!"

I was expecting it, but not that soon! Being distracted by the sirens, I almost got hit by a car reversing out from a driveway. It honked and I threw my hand up apologetically. The lady looking through  the rear-view mirror shot me an evil glance, and pulled out once I moved out of her way. Her car's front door levelled with me and I saw the same expression on her face. I shivered when I realised it could actually be her casual look. Rich ladies and their botox! I thought. Then the silver sports car sped down the street, tipping its contents of luggage off the back seat...

The police sirens seemed to be only a street away, but the only way out was the way I came, since I went down a court. Couldn't I just be more practical! I turned back around, flinging my backpack over my shoulder, ready to head back. I looked across the other side of the street and saw the police car through a mansion's fence. Automatically I yanked my hood over my head. I only had a few more seconds, and I'd have to jump fences, unless...

I stood in the driveway, feeling more like an idiot by the second. This evil-looking lady's house was screaming out to me. It could also be that I was getting desperate. I'd learnt to never trust my gut instinct, but now was not the time. I snuck up the cobblestone drive and stepped onto the porch. Nobody answered when I knocked on the door, and when I tried the handle, it opened.

The police car rounded the corner of the street and I slipped inside, slamming the door behind me. My back slammed against it, and slid down the cold wood. I hit the cold floor laughing silently in relief.
