As Long As You Are Safe

I cried and cried for a week straight. I took a long break from the library and they are threatening to fire me so I went in big bags under my eyes and my hair messy. I wore the same thing that I wore yesterday a plain t-shirt with some grey sweatpants.

As I walked in there was Zart. ''Hey buddy how are you? Haven't heard from you from a while'' Zart said with a friendly smile I roll my eyes. ''Leave'' I said he gathered up his stuff and left but before he exited the door he looked at me with worry on his face.

I sat down I looked up to see someone looking at books. Blonde hair, slim body, and is in the James Dashner section of books.

Newt

I get out of my seat. I march over there all I wanted was to kiss him but at the same time wanted to slap him the hardest that I could.  He turned around hearing my movement I pinned him to the book shelf ''T-Tommy?'' He whispered ''No it's Santa Claus and correction it's Thomas'' I said harshly.

Newt tried to get out of my grip. ''You think your going to walk away without a reasonable explanation on why you blocked me'' I said. ''I just blocked you from my phone'' Newt whispered.  ''No you blocked me from you're life hell even you know that you just don't want to admit it'' I said glaring at him in despite.

Newt just stared at me his brown eyes were full of sadness his words came out in whispers. He was just as broken as me then why did he leave me? I decided to just straight up and ask him. ''Why did you leave me? Why did you block me?'' I asked in a more softer tone. Newt looked around then met my eyes again ''I'm keeping you safe'' Newt said softly ''Safe from what?'' I said with a puzzled look on my face.

Newt sighed. I knew he wouldn't tell me ''Whatever it is and it's not worth ruining everything we could have?'' I asked. ''As long as you are safe then yes it's worth it'' Newt whispered looking into my eyes but then my eyes traveled his arm who had several bruises. ''Who did this?'' I asked Newt didn't say anything ''Newt who the hell did this?'' I asked again instead of saying anything he broke down crying.

All of a sudden his phone vibrated. I reached to grab his phone as he reached for it his hand landed on top of mine I looked up at him his eyes filled with now worry. He was hiding something I grabbed the phone but he did fight back we fought over the phone. I pulled the phone towards me and he pulled the phones towards him I let go the phone flew past him. We both looked at each other then we ran after the phone Newt dived for the phone as he was about to grab the phone I pulled him across the floor.

It was quite funny thinking about it. We acted like kids but over something serious Newt wanted The phone and I to be on two different planets. Finally I grabbed the phone and ran Newt ran after me but I was faster he now seemed to have a limp or something. I didn't do this to annoy him or get back at him for avoiding me I did this because I worried about him he had bruises and now a limp. He wasn't alright he was about to break and I knew it because I've been there a few times.

I ran into the library storage closet. I locked the door Newt banged on the door ''Damnit Thomas answer the door'' He shouted in frustration. Ignoring him I swiped to see an password ''What's your password?'' I asked ''I'm not bloody giving you that information give me my phone'' Newt demanded. I guess it was up to me to a get this password Newt banged on the door. ''Stop banging on the door I'm trying to think'' i shouted he banged harder and louder I rolled my eyes Newt's so stubborn.

After million of guesses it's been at least 15-20 minutes the banging got softer but Newt's groans and shouts got louder.

I finally guessed the password and it was something that I thought wouldn't work.
