Chapter 26: Follow The Trail

Mia's/Nanako's Pov:
I searched the through the house looking for ExplodingTNT. Tonight is the night, he dies for all the bad deeds he has done and the suffering he has caused. I think of it as the world's way of punishing for hurting anyone that met him and the world entrusted me to kill him. Which all together is such a honor since I get to stop a criminal.

I looked through the bedrooms, bathroom, closets, kitchens but, nothing appeared. That is until, I reached the backyard to which I saw a bloody red path leading to the forest. There was note on the fence that was written in blood and I felt a little uneasy which is odd. I should be used to this. "We captured Failboat and we'll kill tonight. If you don't come along with the baby or toddler, his death will be your fault." The note read and I gasped at first.

I am not allowing a innocent person such as Failboat die in the hands of a Purger because of me. I quickly rushed to the other side of Liz's house and made my way to my cabin. Along the way, I few throats were slit with minor deaths occuring around me. Once I reached my home, I barged in and went straight to my room. I carefully opened the door to only hear the sound of a young baby crying.

I creeped my way towards the crib and slowly picked up the baby boy. I cradled him so he would calm down and so no one figures out that I live here. "Shh, stay slient little Payne. You might just get to meet your big brother." I whispered, a smile never leaving my face as the boy giggles. I wrapped in mutiple blankets just to make sure he doesn't get seen or die of coldness. I wrapped one blanket around my chest like a sash so, he wouldn't fall off.

I got some rope and tied one end on my window sill and threw the other end out of my window. I slowly climbed down, making sure the baby didn't get hit. As soon as my feet touched the ground, I instantly rushed back to that yard. I finally made it passed those Purgers so now, I can follow the trail. I made sure to carry a flashlight and my Ninja Stars just to be safe.

This is going to be one hell of a meeting or what I like to call it a 'showdown'.
