It's been two weeks since the last time I talked to Joey. I don't know why but we aren't close as we where before. We also never talked about what happened at the ice cream parlor. About us almost kissing. I'm pretty sure Joey doesn't like me more than a friend. I mean who would like me like that! I am also pretty sure that Joey is still dating Alicia.
I don't understand what he sees in her. I mean she is pretty but she has a nasty attitude.
"Niobe! Are you up" my mom yelled from downstairs.
"Your going to be late for school" she said.
"Crap" I said silently to myself while getting up from my bed.
15 minutes later

I decided to wear something comfortable today because it's Monday and its the worst day of the week.
(In this story it's late November rn)
"Hurry up Niobe! Your going to miss the bus!" She yelled at me for the 5th time today.
"I'm coming"
"What took you so long" my annoying little brother asked me.
"None of your business" I said to him.
"Are you mad because you haven't seen your boyfriend Joey" he teased.
"JACOB" my mom said. "That's not nice".
A few moments later I started chasing Jacob around the kitchen and he was no match for me. Soccer does pay off after all.
"Guys your going to miss the bus. Stop arguing and get to your bus stop". My mom yelled.
"Someone's on their period" I mumbled to myself.
"I heard that" she replied.

It was heading inside the bus and I couldn't find any open seats. Until I looked towards the back of the bus, and I saw a boy and he was sitting by himself. I'm pretty sure he's new because I never seen him before.
"Can I please sit here" I asked the boy.
"Sure, go right ahead" he said while moving his backpack from the seat.
As I sat down, I noticed that the new boy is cute....

"I am Niobe" I said while giving him my hand so he can shake it.
"Lucas" he said while smiling and shaking my hand. "It's nice to meet you"
"Same here " I replied.
"Are you new here" I asked him.
"Yeah, I am. I just moved here from Texas. I never thought I would end up here in New York" he said while laughing.
"That's cool. Can I ask you why you moved?" I said while trying to keep the conversation going.
"I moved because I want to start a new life. I made some bad mistakes in the past " he said. "I wanna be a better person."
I didn't know what to say so I jut looked at my shoes and I decided to ask him a different question to try and change the subject because he looked uncomfortable.
"What grade are you in" I asked him.
"Tenth" he replied.
"Same" I said and before you know it we where are school.
"Wow I can't believe we are already here"
"Time flies when your having fun" he said while smiling.
Does that mean he was having fun talking to me...
I decided to play it cool and just laugh at his comment.
"I hope you have the same classes as me" I told Lucas while we where getting out of the bus and now walking on school property
"I do to. You seem like a real nice girl" he said while walking inside the school.
If I were to describe Lucas in one word I would use the word wow. Becausethat is what he is...
