I am a HUGE Malec fan. HUGE! Shadowhunters did an LGBT couple correctly. How American television shows portray gay couple has always left me cold. Along came. Magnus Bane and Alec Lightwood and I was by hooked... Ok ok the books hooked me first, I watched the movie and was sad they didn't take it further. When the series was announced I was so excited. I waited and watched as casting choices were made... When they announced Matthew Daddario and Harry Shum Jr I could totally see them being a CP I could ship. I took me a long time to choose poses that I wanted to draw of these two. There is a ton of photography that is done for these two but it is a lot of screenshots and gifs. Finding a pic that is HD of them in their characters is not that easy. I started my Matthew Daddario drawing after finally finding the pose of him that called out to my Muse. I love how atmospheric the lighting makes the drawing.

Ok, fast forward to the moment that I posted my drawing of Alec... My friend Pat went total fan girl on me. Thanks to Netflix she was able to see Shadowhunters in the Philippines. I got this comment.

Girl you know that my CP would not be completed without a Magnus Bane drawing. Back on the hunt I went, Tumblr, Twitter, Google, Insta... and finally found a pose that spoke to me. I decided to start the drawing not caring what time it was. Next thing I know many, many, many hours have passed and I'm about done. I send Pat a teaser after blacking out most of the drawing. Her direct quote was "Wahhhhhhh babyyyyyyy...Magnus rocksssss💕💕💕" "I love the eyes💕💕💕💕" LOL. We both totally agree that Harry Shum Jr totally embodies Magnus Bane. I can't think of anyone else that could play the role so well.

My next project of these two will be a couple drawing of these two. When it's done I will eventually update it here. yaoi_mazter love you girl. I know Pat probably said "Dayuuuuum, I nearly swallowed my tongue... gawddeymnittttt!" Or "Emergedddd,this is just amazing!!!"

Haha. I think I know my girl pretty well. I loved paying homage to these two and every moment I spent drawing them. #Harry and #Matthew will always hold a special place in my heart.
