Coffee. The smell of coffee hits my nose as I walk into the coffee shop near my apartment. I love coffee so much, it's addicting. Or am I a tea person? I do like tea...but I love coffee so much. But tea has this smoothness to it, but coffee...coffee is delicious.
"Miss? Miss, are you ready to order?" I snap out of my coffee vs tea debate and realize I am holding up the line to get coffee. "Oh. Oh yes! I am ready to order. I...um... I'll take a regular iced caramel macchiato please," I say to the cashier. I pay for my drink and decide to sit down at a bench near the window.
I pull out my earphones and plug them into my phone. I check if I have any notifications but like...I don't have many friends. I live such an exciting life. I decide to drown myself in my music, VIXX's Chained Up is playing, as I wait for my coffee to be ready. It should take them less than three minutes to make it. Yes, yes I have timed my coffee before. Don't judge me.
Oh boy, I'm talking to myself.
I scan around the coffee shop. It's such a peaceful atmosphere with hardly anyone here. I play around with the leaves of a plant sitting next to me. I barely hear my name called out and I quickly get up and receive my coffee. I thank the barista and head back to my spot on the bench. This time, PENTAGON's Shine is playing and I can't help but sing along in my head. Such a catchy song and funny dance.
I wish I can go see them live or at least go to a fansigning. It's been months since I moved to South Korea and I haven't have a chance to go see my favorite idols. I've been busy with my work as a translator. People are always impressed with my Korean even when I tell them I'm not that good. But I did study long hours every day to get where I am. Since I'm fluent in Korean, I started to learn Japanese about three months ago. I learned the basic when I was in high school so it was quite easy to start up Japanese again. But it's still a lot to take in.
Just then, I get a phone call from my workplace saying I have to go translate a business deal with a company from the USA. I am glad I study business when I was in college. They pay me more money for business deals than other jobs I usually take. I gather my things and leave the coffee shop to my apartment to change into a more appropriate business attire. I arrive at my apartment, which looks horribly small but cozy, and quickly change and head over to the company.
~*~
Ughhhhhh. Tired. I'm so tired that I let myself fall on my bed. The companies didn't even end the deal so I have to go there again tomorrow. Well, I guess its more money for me. Then I can move out of this little apartment to a more spacious one. Ahh that would be nice – I'm happy just thinking about it. I just wanna sleep but I decide to turn on my laptop and look on PTG's official fancafe. I've been trying to level up these past weeks to get a chance to go to a fansigning close by. And don't ask me how many albums I bought... But anyways, I read that the first day winners are going to be announced in an hour.
Oh, just in an hour. An hour. IN AN HOUR?!? I thought they would announce it tomorrow morning because the fansigning is tomorrow. I am so nervous now that I can't even breathe anymore. No [Y/N], breathe. It's gonna be okay. You just have to wait an hour even though that feels like a long way. Omg, it is a long way...HOW AM I SUPPOSE TO WAIT AN HOUR?!?
Wait, calm down [Y/N]. You are an adult now. You can't fangirl like when you were younger...
Eh screw it. I'M STILL A KID AT HEART. AND I'M SO NERVOUS BUT EXCITED AT THE SAME TIME. I COULD POSSIBLY MEET PTG.
Hmm, I guess I can past the time by watching random KPOP videos on the internet.
*AN HOUR LATER*
...
I guess...
I guess I can try again later...
I didn't get into the fansigning...
Maybe...maybe I can try again next time.
Ya, maybe...
I gently close my laptop and hide under the covers of my bed.
Soon, I'm fast asleep.
