"Hey! It's you again!" Niall cheered as he noticed the girl he had been constantly thinking about, sitting alone, once again.
"Go away!" she screamed, making the boy jump.
"What's the matter?" he asked as he sat down next to her. He could feel his extremely cold hands warming with sweat. Shy was an understatement for Niall's personality, he was a true introvert. However, he felt genuinely concerned. Most people don't scream at random strangers when they say hello, but was he really a stranger?
He studied her face, viewing a broken, hysterical girl. "Where's your boyfriend?" He was surprised that she didn't pull her face back or yell at him as usual, but she seemed so emotionally weak that Niall understood.
He wondered why her boyfriend was absent during such a critical time. He wished he was her boyfriend. He has loved her long hair and her big teeth since the very first moment he had met her in the library.
"He — b-broke up with me," she stuttered through a sniffle as tears fell rapidly down her face. "And I don't really know why I just told you that." Under normal circumstances, she wouldn't be considered as an "open" person. If anything, she was an introvert . . .
— just like Niall.
"Hey, don't frown. He obviously didn't deserve you anyway. You never know who could be falling in love with your smile."
"Thank you, but please stop."
"But I-"
"Don't do it," she managed to mumble. "I'm warning you-"
"You're so beautiful that you made me forget my pickup line." She flashed him a toothless smile. "Come here" he held onto her tight, even after she finished crying to make her feel secure and safe. That's all a crying girl ever needs.
"Why are you being so nice to me?"
"Everyone deserves someone to make them feel better."
