Hi mom! How are you? i said to my mom on the phone. I didn't realize how much I've missed her until today.

My left hand was holding the phone up to my ear and the other was busy stirring my coffee.

I'm doing well. I almost thought you already forgot the woman who brought you up in this world. my overly dramatic mom.

Alright mom hindi bagay sayo yan.. I said jokingly.

Whatever. Kamusta ka dyan? How's Dave? Now she's talking!

I put down the tea spoon and took a sip of my coffee.

Just fine ma. Dave's doing good, too. Medyo busy sya kasi he's working on a band tapos lagi silang may gig.

Oh, nga pala kelan mo ba uumpisahan ang business mo? Tagal mo nang plano yan ah. the sound of yawn was heard from the line. I almost forgot, it's night time nga pala doon.

Gosh, what's wrong with you, people? why so excited on that? I laugh You, Dave, the people around me.. What happened to 'don't rush things up' ?? I reminded her. Mom always tell me not to rush things up and wait for the perfect time to come around, but she's always the one who keeps on bugging and excited about my plans.

She chuckles. You silly little girl!.

I can imagine her smiling.

I am not a little girl okay? stop it, please. I exclaimed but her laughter gets louder.

Luisa, no matter how old you get you're still my little girl. Ikaw lang naman ang anak ko e.

A good morning smile greets me by someone walking towards me.

Good morning beauty. He said, carrying his infectious smile. I pouted my lips and wrinkle my brows but he chuckle. He knew how much I hated to be called like that. Pero malakas talaga sya mang-asar.

He gestures his hands up to his sides like 'what did I do?'

Luisiana? Did I hear a male's voice there? Is there a guy in your house right now? This early in the morning?? said mom on a high pitched.

Ma...

He must be special? Since when did you let a guy in your house alone?? huh? I have to meet that guy! mom was on her hyper mood when just a while ago she sounds sleepy.

geez, mom slow down! I was laughing, I never heard her this excited about someone in my house maybe because he's a he. She keeps on reminding me to get a boyfriend so there will be someone who would always check on me.

I mean, do I really need one?

Kaye sit beside me munching the freshly cut apple on the plate.

Talk Luisiana! she demanded.

You know mom, I really have to go. Bye, Love you!. I can still hear her saying something but I hung up the phone quickly.

Breakfast? I beamed.

Apple, banana, cereals and... coffee? he smiled.

uhm yeah? Is there a problem? then his eyes gazed to the coffee on the table.

That's my coffee, okay? Don't be a brat. I chuckle.

Me a brat? Porket hindi nag co-coffee brat na agad? sungit nitong tao na to! he smile and started to eat.

Hindi mo naman ako na-inform bawal pala mag joke? Umirap ako sa kanya, sabay tawa naman nya.

Sino yung kausap mo, mom mo? Kaye asked. He went to the cupboard to get a glass.

Yes. And she freaked out when she heard you. My mom thought you're my boyfriend. She wanted to meet you, she's crazy about me having a boyfriend. I stated.

He plastered a smile on his face.

Oh bat nakangiti ka? nangingiti kong tanong.

Wala lang.. bakit ayaw mo ba ako maging boyfriend? His face lit up.

I drew my lower lip between my teeth so hindi nya makikita ung nagfoform na kilig sa muka ko.

Oh bat di ka makasagot dyan? His smile was growing big. Tapos yung mga mata nya nanunubok.

Tumalikod ako at pumunta sa sink, but the truth is I'm just trying to get away from the funny feeling he was giving me.

Ikaw Kaye ha, kagabi ka pa.. tumigil ka na nga, mamaya maniwala ako sayo ee. The latter part was almost a whisper. Maya maya pa ay naramdaman ko na lumapit sya sa likuran ko.

Lu.. mahinang tawag nya. Hindi ako umimik.

Huy Lu.. I flinched a little when I felt his skin touched my shouder. Tumingin ka nga sakin kinakausap kita e. May itatanong ako sayo.. He manage to turn me around facing him. I felt my face went crimson. We were like inches away from each other.

I chew the inside of my cheeks.

Pwede ba kitang yayain lumabas? His eyes were locked to mine.

Tss! Are you kidding me? My chest was thumping. Feeling ko pautal utal pa ko magsalita dahil sa mga made up excuses ko. Ayoko ngang pagmulan pa ng mga issue about you!

Sige na, minsan lang naman? Gusto ko din na makilala ka ng teamkayecal :) his face brighten up. Saka bakit naman pagmumulan ng issue?? Masama bang lumabas na may kasamang dyosa? Nang-uuto! Hahaha grabe yung ngiti nya halatang pabola!

I tug his hands off of my shoulders and walk past him back to the table. Kinuha ko ang plate ng fruits at bowl ng cereals. Tapos ka na ba dito? Huhugasan ko na kasi.

Bigla nyang inagaw ang bowl sa kamay ko. Parang bata, naka pout pa. Teka lang, di pa ko tapos dito. Minsan talaga napapaisip ako kung singer ba to o artista e.

Bahala ka nga dyan, aakyat na ko.

Sungit naman nito. Lumakad na ako palabas ng kusina. Huy! Akala ko ba mag huhugas ka ng pinagkainan?

Bahala ka dyan!

Alam mo buti na lang kahit masungit ka ang ganda ganda mo pa rin! Kung hindi nako....

Humarap ako bigla sa kanya with my hands on my waist.

Ano?! Kung hindi ano?!

He made a funny facial expression.

Wala po. Naalala ko pala may sinabi ka kagabi, anu nga ulit yun??

I felt my cheeks reddened, I pressed my lips tight. While this makulet na Kaye wears his sheepish mapangasar smile.

Anu nga ba ulit yun Lu? He arched his brows acting like remembering what I've said from last night.

Marami akong sinabi kagabi, kaya kung ano man yon nakalimutan ko na. Tumalikod agad ako at nagmadaling umakyat ng hagdan.

Lu! Sigaw pa nya.
