It all happened so fast. He watched her fall to the ground as his heart rapidly pounded against his chest. Then without further delay, he rushed over to her side and got down on his knees.
"Elena!" He yelled frantically. However she didn't respond. He lifted her body up onto himself, instantly being tainted by the crimson blood that blossomed from her fresh wounds. Having no control, tears escaped his eyes. Elena, suddenly but slowly opened her eyes. "Elena." He smiled as tears continued to make their way down his face. Staring up at him she returned the smile before closing her eyes again.
