Waking Up

Alexia's POV

I slowly flutter my eyes open, confused on what is happening.
I open my eyes fully and look around.
I hear machines and I see a boy sitting in front of me. I think I'm in the hospital.

As I look closer the boy looks a lot like Daniel.

"J-Jaiden?" I ask. The boy lifts up his head, and I freeze.

It can't be.

He looks at me with big happy eyes, he starts crying, but they are happy tears.

He hugs me.

This can't be real. It can't be.

"Alexia your awake." He says smiling at me.

It's real.

"D-Daniel?" I ask tears filling my eyes.
He looks at me and smiles.

I look for the seat thing and I find it. I push the up button so I can sit up.
Once in happy with a bed height, I pull Daniel into a hug.

I find myself crying, but I don't care.
I thought he was dead.

Then I hear the door open. I pull apart from Daniel and look at him.

"I missed you so much." He tells me.
I shake my head and smile.

"I missed you so much more." I tell him.

"OH MY GOD!" I hear someone yell. I look behind Daniel to see my mom. Daniel gets up and my mom rushes to me already crying.

I hug her for like 10 minutes, or at least that's what it felt like.

"My sweet baby" She says as she rubs my cheek.

I smile at her and hug her once more.

All I could do was stare at Daniel.
What's happened. I'm so confused.

"What h-happened? Why am I h-here?" I ask them stuttering.

"You got into a car accident, with Kevin." Daniel tells me. 

Flashback

I was sitting in the front seat eating my popsicle. I can't believe I made Daniel cry.

Kevin was playing music as we were on our way to our date.

Kevin got a little too exited while singing and dropped his phone.

I laughed. He reached down to get it. Taking his eyes off of the road, to get his phone.
"You're crazy." I tell him.
He sits up.

"I know I-" He says but got cut off by a horn.

We both look up to see a big truck heading our way. Kevin mashed on the breakers but it was too late.

I woke up to the smell of smoke and the sound of sirens.

I look around and I'm upside down. I look to my left to see Kevin unconscious.

"K-Kevin?" I ask. He doesn't answer. I try to move but I can't. It hurts too much.

Then something smashed into me.
And everything went black.

End of flashback

"Where's Kevin?" I ask them.

"He's down the hall. He's in a coma." My mom tells me.

My heart sank. Then the doctor came into my room.

"Miss Minterio, glad to see you awake." He says to me. I smile. But it didn't stay up for long. He then starts asking me all kinds of questions.

"Your birthday?" He asks me.

"June second." I respond.

"Your name?" Shouldn't he have asked that one first?

"Alexia Mariah Minterio." I tell him.

"Good, I'll be back later to ask more. Get some rest sweetheart." He tells me. He then gets up and walks out.

"I like him. He's nice." I say to my mom and Daniel, who both laugh.

I then start thinking about Kevin again.

"Can we go see him?" I ask my mom.

"I don't know honey, I'll ask the doctors." She says. She gets up and walks out of the room.

Daniel sits back beside me and holds my hand. I just look at him.
I bring my hair up to touch his face.

I put my hand on his cheek and he smiles at me. I smile back.

"Your really real." I say as I continue to touch his face and hair.

"Yes princess, I am." He says to me. I try not to cry again. I just smile and watch him mess with the ties on my hospital dress thing.

Wait. So while I was in a coma, I was dreaming? In everyone's point of view? This literally makes no sense.
I knew what Kevin felt, Devin, Zion, Xavier. Wait. Xavier! So I don't know him in real life? Aw man! But this is so crazy.

I snapped back into reality when my mom came in with a wheelchair.

"They said you can see him." She tells me. I smile and Daniel helps me into the chair.

We arrive at the room and Daniel opens the door. My mom rolls me in after Daniel walks in. As we enter further into the room, I see Kevin lying in the bed unconscious. He doesn't look good either.

I roll myself beside him. I didn't even know what to do.

I touch his hand and as soon as I did his hand moved. I look up at him and his eyelids are moving too.

Then he opens them. I smile and he looks around til his eyes meet mine.

"Alexia?" He asks me.

"Yeah, I'm here." I say to him.
